i was back and forth so much on monitors and whether or not to do triples. settled on the samsung 49 with the 1000r curve. what does everyone else do for monitors?

I didn't realize it is a CSL tier wheel, that's part of that lower price. it comes with the QR2 lite, which usually isn't rated for the 25nm but apparently on the Porsche Vision wheel it's okay since it's lighter

I like the Vision wheel. feels really nice. has magnetic padels. the knobs leave a little to be desired. they aren't as smooth as the ones on like the clubsport and podium wheels though

but the little led screen can do a lot with telemetry and shift indicators which is nice.

I really wish Fanatec had a wheel with the nice aesthetic led colored buttons like their podium bmw wheel but for a more affordable price

the problem right now is that my seat is like way too high so my heel is off the ground
the Wheelbase and steering wheel are great, never tried non-ffb wheels but on this you can definetly feel a ton of details

so I bought an articulating arm mount and swung it closer, worked out well.

It was expensive, a little over 200, but I also bought the aluminum backbox and face plate which was like $120. You can print all those pieces instead

The print files are $8 instead of $120 for the aluminum parts

The steam deck XL is more ideal because you can switch profiles and everything through sim hub

But I wanted physical buttons and I only play one game, lol

My Christmas present was a screen upgrade, I’m torn between a g9 and a triple screen
On one end I don’t have a ton of space for a 27", and I’m concerned they won’t have enough vertical height, on the other end the g9 really doesn’t seem to be immersive enough (even with a 1000R curve they just don’t go around your face as much) and it would be more expensive than brand new 27"s even used

Well vertical height is exactly the same as a 27" actually, and unfortunately I don’t have the space AT ALL for the optimal solution which would be 32"s

I got an adjustable pedal plate, my knees often hit the bottom of the extrusion that supports the wheelbase

unrelated but I just took the haptic off the ebrake, and mounted right to the plate that the shifter and ebrake mount to. Then i set the haptics to road bumps and engine RPMS, now i can feel it in the shifter when the engine is screaming etc. Adds some nice immersion
