H150i ELITE LCD XT + QX 120 RGB fans spin + rgb, but not showing up in iCUE

Hi everyone,

I recently installed an H150i Elite LCD XT combined with some QX 120 fans. They work, the fans spin and there's rgb all over the place, however in iCue it does not show up and the LCD on the aio is black. The ring around the LCD is rgb.

Any suggestions on what can make the pc pick it up?

So far I've tried:

• rebooting the pc
• reinstalling the chipset drivers
• trying different rgb software
• shutting down all other rgb software (armoury crate)
• replugging the aio

I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions?

the fact that it doesnt detect the controller is troubling to me.

its either a defective core xt or its a wiring thing..

i'd run all the cables one by one from scratch and make sure i'd follow the manual. both Link hub and Commander Core should have be seen. and the fact that none of them show, is 100% a software or power issue rather than faulty components

Link hub takes one usb 2.0 of the mobo.

I would remove the 2 sticks anyway. If/when you get everything working you can try them again.

1. Update BIOS.
2. Reset BIOS to defaults
3. Enable EXPO and disable Armory crate from Tools Menu in BIOS

If you have a micro USB to USB A cable lying around you could try plugging the Link Hub into a USB port at the back of your machine to see if iCue picks it up

ok listen, here is what i would do at this point.

take out the motherboard, leaving the cooler attached and try the setup outside of the case. Its possible there may be a short somewhere. PLace the motherboard on its box and only connect the bare essentials. Cooler, RAM, M.2. CPU power and 24 pin power. First off try the AIO LCD. it will be easy to tell if the port is working as the screen will fire up

its a pain I know, but at this point i'm out of ideas. If it doesnt work outside of the case like this then you have a few options:

1. RMA the board, either with the shop in the first instance, or ASUS failing that
2. Look at other options of connecting the hubs. If you can route the cable out of your case and plug things into the back like we did to test then its an option. Converters are availble for the other devices to enable you to do the same.
3. Internal PCI-e card with internal headers exist.
4. Just live with those things not working (not ideal)

It will use your internal USB3 header and convert it to USB 2, but it means you will lose the ability to use your front USB ports on your case

if you do go down this road you can also get an internal USB2 hub that this can plug into to add additional ports. Corsair sell one for under €20

check that your front case USB ports are working before you do this though

Just got the email back from the shop

The data lines of the internal USB2.0 headers no longer function, the power lines still work. This is something that can unfortunately only be repaired by replacing the motherboard or claiming warranty.

In addition, it seems that the display on the water pump is also not functioning. The fan/RGB controllers are both recognized when we test them with an extension cable on the USB3.0 connection of the motherboard. However, the display is not recognized. This also means that warranty should be claimed from the selling party.

these things happen every day for a lot of people. I got a friend that got the taichi for over 600eur and it burned both itself and the cpu in less than 3 months he set it up

rma took 5 weeks and he got the new cpu last week and the mobo replacement today.

Try this....The internal USB 2.0 headers on my motherboard are not functioning. I have had tis verified by the retailer that i purchased the board from.

AIO one is fine...if anything point the corsair support person to this thread. If it helps then say you have had help verifying the issue from a Corsair Insider who suggested that I reach out to support.
