a spicy beef bone Korean ramyeon so the noodles are thicker then your average ramen

the mild is a lie it comes in spicy and mild but it should really be "so dang spicy how does anyone eat this" and then normal people spicy

then the hour drive is the closest korean grocery store

I only use this brand and type for the army stew

Otherwise, I'd go shin ramyun all the way

But it's a bit higher on the calories side, so I try not to indulge too often

When I make it for my grandma or mom, I would use a different brand of packet noodles which are cheaper, and split the sauce into two

So it's not so spicy for them, and we can enjoy it together

I think my spice tolerance is pretty high though... For those buldak ramen, a full packet gets me sweating and my nose running only. Don't feel it after a couple of mins

Nothing, they use a flower which we locals call "bunga telang". It's a natural dye from a specific species of flower

You'll boil the soup on low heat for 2-3 hours, the onions will be gone and turned into liquid gold
