The only downside of being the first owner is luxury tax here for any car valued over 100 K Canadian additionally freight PDI. So that’s an extra 10 K starting, higher end cars like Lamborghini g wagon etc have like 40k luxury tax. That’s Canada but still freight PDI is 3-6k range

I used to use Google as on android auto I get 2 buttons for maps. One was usually a button for directions to home and the other was another destination I have searched up recently. Now I'm trying waze to see how it is. Waze does not ask if I have a petrol or diesel car so it just sends me on motorways more than google would as Google tries to find paths better suited for petrol cars

Every fuel up is around the 33 mpg mark. I have had some trips with 50 mpg and some with as low as 26. Today got 26 because half my journey was in traffic for some odd reason. Usually no traffic when I go out at that time

Its a 40k difference in price for a reason. Some people want a V8 with the lower maintenance cost of a track car. But the depreciation of the m60 will be higher than the x5m as its less in demand

The V8 in the base car concept is just another way they make money. Think of it like the G550 and G63. The G63 is more in demand and better resell than the cheaper V8

Also bmw and mercedes have an out of warranty repair process called "goodwill repair" where depending how far you are outside of warranty, how long youve owned the car, how many bmw/mercedes you have in your household they will fix your issue for free or at a percentage discount. Not many people know about it but ive done it before with my ripped seat i had it fixed for free under goodwill repair about 6 months after my warranty ended

Was in a model 3 today and I did not expect to like the drive that much tbh. Interior is decent. Wood trim is cool but to be the driver and have to play with the screen for basic controls would not be fun. Had electric seats so I got myself comfy. Also first electric car I've been in that thing picks up speed so fast and you can casually do 2x the limit and feel fine

The lack of sound was odd. At the traffic lights once they became green we were speeding and the bmw 5 series in front was going even faster than us 🤣

Ive driven a tesla 3 and Y many times its a great car for what it is. Only con with ride was on highway its as loud as a corolla in the cabin

For sure, at least electricity is easy to transport, but it would be difficult and un-economical to import clean energy over very long distances
