Just reset the mileage (trip counter) when you drop it off for service and then when you pick up the vehicle. You know how many miles they put on the vehicle. Me I service my own vehicles or I have my friend do it.

Your welcome, This was a old timer thing that's how they use to keep track on their oil changes and some used it for gas mileage or they want to calculate there road trips back in the day before those oil change stickers they put on the windshield (not sure if they still do it).

Sometimes my phone disconnects from the car whilst driving. Sometimes I drive for an hour and it does not disconnect once, but sometimes it happens often. Maybe a bad cable? I have another that I could try

Maybe the adaptor as well but I do remember checking the usb a to usb c adaptor and the cable is android auto compatible, so it shouldn't be an issue 🤷‍♂️

Just install one in a Lexus ES350 about couple of weeks ago. I think this camera design is going to do well in the market. It kinda look factory. This is what allot of people are after.

Toyota only recalled a welding debris left on the ends of the rear axle assembly during manufacturing that was only on the Tacoma. There was also other recalls something with the transmission in the Tundras, Sequoias and LX600s Now I remember it was something about disengage when the vehicle is shifted to the neutral position. For reliability. I stick with Toyota any day over Ford. Oh by the way I been working and doing 100 percent restoration on vehicles probably before you were even born.

Thats the only issue ive seen with the new Hondas in general. All of them come with CVT standard now.

Worst trans ive driven is the zf 9 speed. Drove it in a rental many years back and it was so bad

Car would shift at 10, 20, 30 and its very rough

My parents mdx has the same zf 9 speed but its a little better in there but not as good as the zf 8 speed in the X5 i test drove

2012 Subaru CVT was belt the 2013 Subaru they switch it to chain. What Subaru did they claim the CVT transmission is sealed for life. No one was changing the CVT fluid inside them. When I had my Subaru at that time I was one of the few that attempt to change the CVT fluid at 60k miles. I had a huge argument with Subaru and at the end they sold me the CVT oil. I figured out how to change the CVT fluid.

as for NIssan CVT in 2022-2024 There was a huge Nissan CVT class action settlement due to shuddering, fluid leaks, overheating, whining noise, delayed engagement, loss of power, etc. I lost count on how many CVT I replace in those Nissan.

BOV (Blow off valve) , other names are diverter valves and or recirc valves. There job are to reduce (release pressure) in the intake system as the throttle closed to prevent from compressor surge. You can have these valves releasing the pressure out in the atmosphere or like mine (x2 valves) where it recirculating the air back to the turbo's. I prefer recirculating the air back to the turbo. It's more quieter then releasing out in the atmosphere.

Compressor surge is when the air pressure after the compressor is actually higher than what the compressor itself can physically maintain.

Yeah problem I have is quite a small turbo that spins up very quickly and shoving a bit more boost at it (well within its limits) means it's safer to allow it to dump, the one I have has a dual port option, its just blocked off for now. So there is the option to connect up a recirc line if the turbo is spinning down too violently.

The benefit of smaller turbo is more responsive off the line but limited on top end power. Due to the smaller turbine.

Yeah, only real options for it are to get a reman on the standard but conversion to a hybrid. Which is totally fine. Also means its a direct replacement, being a hybrid it'll likely benefit more from a partial recirc to keep it spooled up. Its running around 0.8bar boost at the moment. Seem them running silly numbers like 2.8bar with very little block work.
not for me though 185 is going to be ample in a van with stock suspension 😂

For other reading and lost on bar meaning. Bar means the pressure that the turbo creates above atmospheric pressure. Turbo boost psi (pounds per square inch is a unit to measure air pressure inside a chamber containing gas.

The rear trunk for the vette can cook a meal from the heat that gets into it. I put groceries in front trunk and my take out dinner in the back

Griddle plate is the ECM. Pain in the rear after did spark plug (NGK Iridium) and engine air filter. Misfiring on cylinder 3. Swap boot and then coil pack to cylinder 2. Scanner was still picking up cylinder 3 on live stream. So I pulled out the spark plug and the gap was closed on the new plug. Lesson learned to check the gap on the new plug before going in.

gif is so fake there is no way on earth that left post arm would of swing out like that due to the gravity of the vehicle resting on the pods. Then the flashers came on after the vehicle hit the floor. If any vehicle falls of the lift. They did not set the lift pods on the correct position on the vehicle pods. You suppose to check it after getting the wheels off the ground by rocking the rear bumper to see if it's stable. Then the front person fell to the ground then bounce back up like a frog, lol.

Having worked in in garages. very easily so it looks like they didn't use the locking teeth which your supposed to on these so the arms are free to swing so the weight comes off one side and well, you see what happens.

Personally while I was trained on there use I never used them as what I worked on weighed too much for that style lift.

Most but all vehicle don't have adjustable camber. When you lower a vehicle it's a price he or she need to fork out to have done correctly. Then alignment is needed afterward. For the rear an old trick is to use bolt washers to fix the rear camber.

My suspicion is the pressure switch and or expansion valve. To get to the Crankshaft sensor I have to remove one of the catalytic converter to get access. That’s going to be another day. After so much testing on the W166. Freon is good but A/C Compressor Control Solenoid valve went bad. To replace it I have to replace the entire A/C compressor. Unless I can pull the one off the compressor and match it up. If I'm going that far I just replace the entire compressor. I'm not in a rush to replace it since I have the W211 to drive with cold A/C if needed.

Just replace the Auxiliary Battery on the W166. Had to remove the rear seat.
