I got a new grinder for Christmas and finally set it up this morning...

Place in uni i go changed who they source from - not sure i like it tbh. Some beans from nero roasting but the aroma and taste is odd and cannot tell what flavour it is. The cup is nice though its black and white

I feel like an alchemist this morning. Made my first batch of coldbrew to leave in the fridge overnight.

Added vanilla and brown sugar, hopefully it comes out good.

I cant find my cheesecloth though so that might suck later.

Note to self: cut down the amount of vanilla extract next time. I put in WAY too much and it is so acidic.

maybe you guys will think of something I have not yet tried - mother yesterday was cleaning the espresso machine and she said the pressure seemed to be lower than usual and it did look like it. today I tried with just shower screen on and yes the pressure was low. I tried removing the shower screen and soaked it in soap and water and then I used a teeth brush to clean it. but still the pressure was not good and so I tried with a thin metal pointy thing idk what its called in english to put it in the holes of the shower screen but that did not help too. I then decided to put shower screen back and put on an empty portafilter to see how the pressure was like but was still bad and tbh I did not expect it to improve but who knows maybe it fixed itself idk but sadly no. ill go put the blind filter and try flushing it a few times maybe it will work idk. what is interesting is before cleaning the machine pressure was fine. interestingly without the shower screen pressure is ok but the shower screen does not look blocked which is odd.

Most of the 'sponsored' coffee blends are like that as they dont intend to have longevity in the market anyways so don't invest heavily in the manufacture process.
