This is actually a raiding event (for those who want it to be)
Unfortunately(?) if you have any memories and some torment levels, the event monuments are basically self sufficient. So farming memories is almost irrelevant

If ragnarok PoUA was achievable, there’s no reason to complain about this one imo. Farm monuments -> kill raids and you’ll be there in no time
Rag PUA was often achieved because overflow kingdom damage xp bug

When I wanted to farm all Great Anguish drops, I HoCd to Beo to use BeoA. That’s how much better that is at agony raiding 😅
And also this is post nerf so raids can just randomly hit you if they feel like it
That time is also quite slow since I didn't have proper anguished follower stats stuff, it's improved since then.

in particular given whole May we "had to" do monuments, in the sense it was mandatory for ornaversary, and more efficient for apo event in general
so for people who can switch to raiding, and want a lot of event xp, that's an option this event fortunately

the minimonu are great, can play 5 min do 4, get mnemonic from proof of mon, free proof of torment, eod drops (btw it appears the minimonu eod are "hard", superior + guaranteed) and the new superraid

That was the only piece of gear I was interested in, none of the weapons or mage gear seem even worth using
btw it's 25 memories so 10 event encounter (1-4 each so 2.5 avg); last floor gives memories so 9, 3 per encounter so 3 encounters = 1 minimonu. you get like 1 per floor expected more or less, so doing one outside monu allows to shfulle through like 12 minimonu; minimal outside play is needed still if you want to focus on mini-monus, and that's without zerks from anguish

We got resurgence on all pieces and delay chance, I'm fine with losing crit damage for having an actual class bonus. I do think the numbers need to be tweaked to be more impactful, but its a start
The resistance is still pretty low when spells are our main pain points and 12% isn't great on its own, would've still liked the 20% but I can understand how that'd get out of hand
Yeah like you make the lakes faster but now you need to do normal monuments to stock up... GIve me the 5 floors back that were vial positive is going to save real time or adjust the spawn rate in 4 floors.

Would adjusting the spawn rates in dungeons be on the table? I initially tried stacking currency through that but even with Ruairc + monumental I was still getting terrible spawn rates
I think dungeons for memories -> lake -> raids would be a more interesting gameplay loop
Here's a peak behind the scenes: I do not know the metas around mages, and neither does Dangy. Initial pre-launch changes were made after prompting by Konq (our resident ORN Heretic), and at least for the time being there hasn't been another ORN familiar with Heretic taking charge.
There hasn't been a consolidation of what direction to take changes to the Heretic gear, so I don't think there's been a specific push for specific changes.
That isn't to say changes won't happen (the event started only 25 hours ago), just that unlike the thief gear there hasn't been directed consolidated feedback.

It's sounding like Heretic gear is now the only stuff with complaints, so that really should be what we can consolidate next I'd hope.
I just don't see how a class locked avidity and 12% resurgence is better than flat 15% usable by all classes. You went and extensively explained that the gear could get a little love, what we got was a change that feels more like a nerf.
My point of view is from the non-RS perspective. From Beo/Deity standpoint, there is almost no point in farming the ultimate raid.
At least the Rhongomiant was fixed to have Tier 10 stats
we definitely are ok changing up the mage gear, but there's not really any consensus showing from the crowd yet.

I don't want to sound harsh, but my concerns are only for RS and how the thief gear benefits RS. We've been wanting gear that benefits our class for sometime and Odie double downed on the effect.

No flask power, the flask charge on defeat is made pointless by the fact that it is 2-handed
My current heretic understanding:
Hood - Not meta. Powerful but worse in the builds that would use the Yelm Headrobe
Robe - Just 20% dark damage isn't ideal for a rare expensive drop 
Boots - ???
all i want is some chain chance (1 or 2%)on the pact adorns

That's because that weapon was specifically designed for that purpose, this adornment is supposed to be a shared piece for valhallan and summoners. It's unrealistic to just get a free BiS adornment for a different use case from something that wasn't even designed with that use case in mind

People feel a little cheated that they "wasted" lots of windtamer scrolls to get it in previous years
survivor bias should not be a reason we can't improve events
Steward Pegasus is a meta live PvP pet, Steward Gwyllgi is really really good for RS corvus thanks to Critical Poise.
the event folowers felt rare, we used to sacrifice many windtamers to get them, only for other ppl to get them for free now :/
None of the gear in this event is good for beo ngl, in fact I'd dare say they're all bad, but this is more about the reason behind the creation of the gear rather than it being good for a class or not (cough mage gear is still not that good for mages despite being made for them cough)

I tend to be in the minority here among RS players, but every time I've brought up +Resurgence I've seen no reason to make it be classline-specific.
Realmshifter has High Tenacity, even if other classes can utilize +resurgence for some fun it'll be RS that always does it best. (This is relevant for base Beo and BeoA mainly)

Second chance + redline is already a busted combo. Giving “resurgence” gear access to non RS classes would just multiply that further imo
I can admit that I am mildly annoyed that I farmed 2k materials for 4 candles long ago, but I will live. It's mostly because I'm 310 hippos in and have no ornate windtamer boots 
The HP nerf honestly makes up for it.
Those candles were way overpriced earlier anyways.
I think Gwyllgi is great follower, top in pvp offense. The reason to make him more expensive would be that he is really good..? and now costs less than Lesser Slime.

Proposed changes to Heretic gear:
- Hood: Add either flask power or elemental weakness (dark damage could be removed), or remove all the negative stats
- Robe: Give it flask power or elemental weakness. It's also missing the flask charge stat for some reason.
- Boots: remove some of the negatives
- All 3 items above could potentially get a significant boost to flask charge rate (5% is basically useless), make them higher than beguiled apollyon gear. This could be in lieu of some of the above changes.
- Cursed Rhongomiant: add flask power AND elemental weakness to it (it would still be less damage for Omniflask than a single t5 scholar's chargeblade). Alternatively, remove all drawbacks and make it one-handed like its T8 counterpart (which is currently more useful than t10 version)
The same as you wanting immunity break on summoner too, of course your summons are weaker is because you use pants

I mean, even then it would only really be deity and maybe heretic corvus benefitting from that change. The gear isn't even tanky enough for beo/beoA to use for turtle builds. I'm gonna be completely honest when I say I actually have 0 hope or belief that any of this gear will reach a state it's actually useful or can even be considered a sidegrade for beo

Chain chance is the additive chance that your attack will roll a 50% chance to hit an additional enemy. 100% chain chance means that you will always roll that 50/50 to hit an additional enemy however it will still be extremely unreliable.
When used alongside an already chaining ability, the math falls apart completely and you can only hit 3 enemies if were going to already hit 2 enemies with the attack that normally chains.
Hydrus pact has special code in it to make Chain Chance work differently than it does for any other skill/spell in the game.

Adding elemental weakness shows that it is a King's item.
Weakness works like a passive aura.
All 3 armour should have an elemental weakness or flask power then with dark damage.
Cursed Rho * AOE offhand power should be similar to arcane AOE.
800 is too low tbh. Despair offhand power is 2000.

If you have 100% chain chance and use Cleave:
- The game rolls 50/50 for you to hit a second opponent (Cleave is a chained skill)
- If you fail this check, you hit one enemy
- If you pass this check, move to step 2
- The game rolls 50/50 for you to hit a third opponent (100% chain chance)
- If you fail this check, you hit two enemies
- If you pass this check, you hit three enemies
50/50 may not be entirely correct per the testing I did, but that's the gist of it

Adding my 2c - I am actually most interested in side-grades. Omniflask has been an extremely fun build to optimize, and it'd be great to find another cool niche using the toys we have.
A pet project we've had (primarily GoodyPhil; credit where credit is due) is to figure out a way to make Bloodray into a raiding tool. Stacking a more substantial amount of flask charge % with flask power would allow for this build. Goody Phil can probably get us specific numbers thanks to their calculator.

My name would be something about chain chance if it didn't require a large rewrite of game code. The code for Sands of Aaru working the way it used to is literally already in the game files so that one is a quick easy fix and I just want it back 😢

if cc worked after chain skill calculation is completed then it can be fixed (I'm very sure I expressed myself very bad)
If chain chance could be boosted to be reliable we wouldn't need all these dang full AoE-fests
Higher flask charge would definitely be useful here. I could try to come up with a reasonable number but you are correct that if the gear doesn't also have flask power, it's moot.
I think Bloodray's only hope of competing with Omniflask as a raiding tool is to have enough built-in flask charge to regain 1+ flask per cast of Shadowed factionstrike

And competing could still be "omniflask is better but this is different/you can get this while you wait" kind of deal

This really isn't the place to discuss chained chance since this event has none of it. But yes
Omniflask requires pieces from many different events to really sing
So if this gear is meant to have dark damage and flask charge, bump the charge up and also give it some flask power
Other thoughts: mirroring the bonus to resurgence Thief line gets, the gear could have a bonus to blue lining that is exclusive to heretic. That would give the gear a niche in dungeons

Bloodray is near to being useful in endless (fixing a weird interaction with flask on defeat might make it jump to useful). Inflection is really nice, especially with Fey Pearls.
And Omniflask became the primary raiding tool once scholar's chargeblade came out.

I don’t think nullifying a stat is the best way to balance it, that’s all. Especially at a % higher than any defensive tool available (parapet being the one with the highest % at 25% for comparison)
Just add "20% chance to negate ward bypass" to amities 👍
Not even mentioning that the ward bypass amity also got a substantial buff, meaning you can get to 45% bypass rates

Yeah the rng spread is very wide, sometimes I was barely making any gains and sometime I was losing, it's almost the exact same, just slightly worse
My gains when they happen are just significantly reduced

I think the idea is that the resurgence benefit should make up for the defense/res. At first glance I agree, I do wish the res was higher, but maybe in practice it's not that bad
