Make it so the damage knife throws deal is not only dependent on how long you charge it for; but also on distance. This would still allow fast bhoppnig movement while decreasing the amount of close range knife throw kills and promoting better throwing aim and knfie throw trickshots.

  • also, if the damage can increase infinately depending on how far you throw, it would be cool to try get the highest damaging throws.

Even just for the first 150-200 units of distance, this would be huge. You can get all the fun of throwing knives without the cheesy close-range kills.

Knife throwing as it is could be better

i think range and accuracy would balance it

closer an enemy is the less damage it does would be nice

because as it is, and potato on an ipad can kill you with it

id suggest to just remove knife throwing as a whole because its just a plague on this game and i was angry the moment it got added.
but we have it and i know it wont get removed so atleast make it skill dependent

Knife throwing definitely cant be removed, as its built within movement (being able to ads with melee) along with stats/items requiring it.

Some choices to consider

  1. Full charge required to throw, 80 damage to body & 120 to head
  2. Throwable knife as a 3 killstreak
  3. Damage reaches 100 at 40m (as suggested here) + headshot multi of 1.25

I think the best option is make it distance based so it's more of a skill shot rather than lol I pressed it at the right time

But no, knife throwing as it is, is a plague.
I'm fine with a bit of fun, but an instant 1 shot on whoever you like whenever you want is stupid

But once you figure out how to use it, the skill progression goes from garbo to unstoppable extremely quickly

Every other onetap has some sort of downside that makes it less powerful. Sniper has low health, shotgun has low range, rev only works on certain classes, and charge rifle can't fire instantly even with precharging. Crossbow, when used properly, is effective out to midrange and has more health.
