plot is the same. getting rid of filler, changing how the entire thing begins, changing how the main characters interact, and just overall simplifying/condensing to make it all more concise.

i hated the beginning chapters since shortly after i posted them, and was dying to rewrite them. however, atp i'm just not sure how to push forward with the rewrite. mostly struggling with dialogue tbh.

if you split it into chunks to get done and just do a bit during different sections, you can break it up with more enjoyable writing in between. However this method might not work well for ADHD hyperfocus states, in which case all you need to do is start on it, persist for a little while, and then you will likely fall into a flow state and keep rolling for a bit

If you decide "ok which chunk is the one that matches my energy level rn" and work on that, it'll not be as problematic as doing something hard just because it's first on the list. so like if you did a later section that you know how to do better, that would be easier, and you would feel the dopamine from actually accomplishing something

so maybe you could do that first?

it's super rough when you feel that way about something you're passionate about, so it's really important to work on those coping strategies so your hobbies don't fill you with dread
