platformers where you can break bricks and stomp on enemies aren't mario rip-offs

i love to hate on rip-offs but this one ain't it 🤷‍♀️

valiant hero just gets me, i love tragic endings in silly stuff, and messing around in the station with charles is fun, but the thing about this route is the beginning and ending, its one that really makes me appreciate charles lol, plus the places it takes place in just adds to my love for it, i love the tavern and the space station, in general i love snow and space places in games

revenged is an excellent linear route, by which i mean like... there is only one the betrayed route, playing from infiltrating the airship and getting here is just perfect, you become the toppat leader, then since you trust them you call for their help and you end up betrayed, reginalds distaste for henry and desire to become the leader again are shown in other routes but heres where he actually gets to throw you under the bus, only for you to later come back and get him as well as the entire clan, or at least most of it, and just like valiant hero ending with henry dying is perfect, so yes, the thing i appreciate the most on this one is the story, but as for the route itself all the animations are just so great too, funnily even though it ends with henry dying, this route also has potential for more story afterwards

oh yes, toppat recruits, i didnt get to show my appreciation for this path before because i dont like pardoned pals, but siding with the toppats? makes this route be about as excellent and fittingly [as toppat king] with henrys progression throughout the games, i prefer him to be a thief, when hes a thief by himself its great, but adding the toppat flavor on top makes it 10 times better, going back to the route itself i love all the scenes, picking an object each with ellie, then the time traveling scene and also the corruptick are both so fun, the "henry will remember that" fail is so funny to me and just, the ending scene, its an excellent way to end it, with every team youve met so far, it really shows all the buildup thats been presented through the games, you got your friend ellie, the toppat clan, the wall guys that you just escaped from, and the government, if i had it my way i would've made the government a fail its all lol, to have the toppat as the only true option, adding ellie as a real ending would be nice, but i think theres not a lot of room for a proper ellie ending over there
