This community here seems like one to have crazy good ideas and i dont want this game to be like a total ripoff of the Henry games but i also want to keep the similar mechanics of the game. Any ideas? or could anyone point me in a good direction?

Well Picking-choice kind of games aren't specific to Henry, it can be basically traced back to Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books. That said, it would be best to have a basic story idea with characters, and then add choices for different paths as you go along. Have one end goal, and different ways to achieve it.
