I was half joking but ill make an actual point:

I personally dont think gaurdian angels are healthy for the game in their current state because they punish impostor players for good teamwork. Heres a hypothetical scenario: green, pink, black, and you (purple) are the only people left. Pink and black are clear and during the last meeting, you convince them that green is definitely the impostor.

At this point it should 100% be GG as youve manipulated the lobby into a win. However as you go to get that final kill, you cant because the person who made the lobby cranked up the angel stats to uncounterable levels of bs

In high levels of play meetings are almost always hyper productive for crew. Everyone is placed on the map and if imps are not playing risky and loose then detective can usually find the players with weak alibis and confirm/break them.

GA comparatively is not super helpful to crew. Usually delaying a kill. This usually isnt game winning information crew uses

I would agree, i was mostly referring to casual play/pubs

Detective is another incredibly unbalanced role imo that needs more fine tuning

The reason detective feels less intrusive in pubs is because pubs are so split in terms of teammate quality (often you get a lot of trolls or people who genuinely dont understand the game) and it results in detective being an almost obsolete role unless the person who gets it happens to be on the experienced side

I dont really like how the only counter to detective is an impostor role that is not guaranteed. I feel like the issue moreso falls on how many roles exist within modern play in conjunction to how the game allows match hosts to completely dictate the ruleset to their liking

There's no worse feeling than playing impostor in a lobby where everyone has visual tasks and crew roles and youre playing as a phantom/ss (viper can arguably be viable but good luck surviving lategame if everyone is cleared)

My idea is to add a role called “Spy.”

what the role is and how it works
The role will be in the crew-mate category.
Similiar to the impostor Phantom, The spy ability turns you invisible.
The spy role could have a use time of 10-25 seconds, and a cooldown time of 25-60 seconds.
While being invisible, the spy cannot do tasks or fix sabotages.
While spy is invisible, the impostor cannot kill the spy.
While spy is invisible, they cannot report the body.
Spy has the ability to deactivate the ability at any time.

what the role looks like
Looks like a regular crewmate when not activated
When transforming, it activates a coloured smoke like phantom.
When transformed, the player and name are invisible to the impostor.
Other crewmates cannot see the player and name when transformed.

how impostors can counter the spy
Impostors can sabotage communication, which will cancel out the spy ability and make the spy visible to impostors.

how the spy can be used
The spy can be used for watching suspected players to see if they vent, or kill, or do anything suspicious.

Talking about New Map. Im surprisily the time just flies soo quick this is like the same of 2024, rn this means that the new map is most likely releasing on 2026. Im not sure Innersloth will do it but it is not gaurranted, as every map releases for every 3 years.

What I want from a new map is incrdibly simple. Animationless vents. Like Polus.

I want my theory that Polus is only held in high regard due to this one element to be tested.

Correct. This is resulted in me havjng the conspiracy theory that the only reason Polus is on the pedestal for competitive players is that there are no vent animations and therefore no catching vent usage in fog of war

This is unique to Polus

(Mods like Stellar Roles have patches to make vent animatioms not appear in fog of war. This one change actually makes Skeld and Mira viable as competitive maps)

But Skeld and MIRA suck in vanilla because of how bad it is when vent animations get spotted even in fog.

Vent animations in fog of war is basically a localised noisemaker that is baked in the map itself

Its also monitor dependent btw. Wider monitor = more vision

Its a lot less funny when someone in Storage sees a vent animation in medbay

(Not to mention name clipping)
