Interesting concept.. But depending if it's a crewmate or not could have large impact..
For example. If it's a crewmate role then it'll kinda ruin the point of meetings, also since among us was based(or inspired) on John Carpenter's the thing, it'll just ruin it further if the imposters just died from a simple trap. (also if they could fie from traps why not shoot the imposters instead of burning or eject then)
Although if this is an Imposter role then it can be balanced if there's a one use per round cool down and only be able to use it one.. It could replace the kill button (but I think the imposters could use it to sabotage certain tasks like wires, or down/upload data)

Had a crazy round 1 where 3 players were killed and 1 DCd. Both imps went 'wow, 3 kills' and all the crew were stoic as hell. Me and someone else picked up on this and pushed with that as information was limited.
