A minute later a body gets reported but the person reporting the body isn't trustworthy in your eyes. You decide to interrogate for the timing of the vent you saw and not the body timing.

had an idea for a new Impostor: The Corruptor enters the victim's suit on kill, appearing to be them for the rest of the round. In that suit, they can "do" tasks, including any accompanying visual effects outside the task window, and they can choose whether to kill and take the suit or just kill. At the end of the round, they leave the suit in the place they were standing when the meeting was called, and it becomes a permanent fixture.

It will either

• make them infinite (0 duration Shapeshifter is infinite. This is intentional unmodded behaviour),
• make them bug out (0s KCD is... Weird and buggy. 0kcd lobbies actually run 0.1 to dodge the 0s bugginess),
• or the desired behaviour: make Detective a fancy role with organized ingame nites.

I haven't tried it so I can't say which would happen.

4: You no longer appear as an imp to any fellow imps, and can be killed by them

See, the whole convo in Among Us comes from the fact that death is final and the info dies with you. That's why impostors take risks and crews are scared to be alone.

If you drop in a Medic who can just bring bodies back, you're blowing up that tension. Essentially every kill turns into a waiting game for the Medic instead of an actual mystery.
It also forces impostors into a weird meta where you're not trying to outplay the crew, you're just running around hunting the Medic so your kills stick.

Once you're dead in Among Us, you're dead… that's the core of the game. Even if you strip a revived player of chat and the report button, they're still a giant info leak just by existing.

Their movement alone can give things away. People will shadow the person who got revived because they "know something," and impostors suddenly have to dodge a human breadcrumb trail everywhere that person goes.

The only responsible use of the medic role I have seen is Stellar Role's implementation.

Put a vitals monitor on a player. You only get one.
When that player dies the imp that killed that player is notified immediately that they killed a medic's patient.
The medic will be notified after a delay that the host configured that their patient has died.

This could only exist in modded btw. This is too unintuitive for vanilla.

so the people that left the game instantly and also after dying i obviously banned them from my lobbies for life. orange starts speaking spanish mid meeting even tho i said in the lobby english only so i banned him. then white (crew) starts accusing black (crew) without evidence so i banned him too. then more people started leaving so i banned them too. the round ended and imposter won. all these people i had to ban. and this is almost every lobby i make.

There is one little catch about becoming a target... they have to catch you alone, in a way they won't get caught for it

and yes, I know there are… those hosts that refuse to change their settings if asked because, y'know, they want to cultivate a certain experience—but that's besides the point. imagine just joining a lobby, not knowing the vent duration for engineer at all, and then when the game starts, your vent duration is as short as a Minion and you end up despising it and want to leave

the host may be one of the most gratuitous you'll ever have for that session, but because of your lack of foreknowledge of the game's settings, your play style is fucked six ways to Sunday
