Or the settings are horrendously crew sided.

Teamwork between 2 imps is already gross. The explosion of potential that a third teammate provides is too much even for 12 crew to handle.

once you get 1 imp out on 2 imps early game, (which isn't hard to do) the last imp is just screwed at that point...

ive never seen a scenario where 2 imps is fair on a 12 player match

Crew has to play aggressive with low information to simplify the game state. If crew gets to 10 players alive and no one has been ejected yet the game is already over.
