Okay so, I'll bring up the suggestion of non-levelled VCs for matchmaking with the other staff. My chief concern is preventing moderator burnout/harassment towards them because, it was absolutely ridiculous so any sort of new vc matchmaking will have to be made in a way that prevents that

I've developed a habit in this game
I'm wary of stack crowds (the ones that form during lights/comms sabotages, course/keys tasks on Polus, at closed doors (occasionally), etc.)

Because I am scared that if a stack kill happens I'd either be the victim or get accused of said kill

So if there is a lights/comms sabotage, if I come there and see a crowd, I stay aside and wait until they fix it
But if I happen to be nearby when it starts or if I arrive first, I fix it myself

And on Polus, if there's a task in the dropship at the very start, I just leave it for later

Why is it, whenever comms are sabotaged, the engineers lose the ability to vent?
Like, okay, I can get why the tracking stops working for trackers
I can get why the vitals stop working for scientists
I can get why cameras stop working etc.
But why do the vents stop working? Moreover, only for the crew; the impostors can still use it, no issues

Actually, forget about the vents.

it's a glitch lobby. any levels you gain while in a glitch lobby will add to what you had before. even if you were at 100..

Some lobbies do that, it’s pretty random but the last four letters of the code tend to determine if your level will reset, your level should go back to normal though once you leave the lobby and reset the game.

Yes the complaints are valid but when you're being pressured, whether that be by your playerbase in the case of Among Us, or pressured by a time limit in the case of a Game Jam, it can get really stressful.

but also the "disagreeing with certain people thing"; that's the elitism in this game that needs to be moderated. people that already subscribe to the way Among Us works are often in closed spaces away from places like public lobbies where the general consensus is a resounding "fuck that."

public lobby players want to play the game the way they want to because they are unaware, or vehemently despise, the way the game plays because they aren't here to play strategically like a sweat. they only want the fun aspect of the game based on their own actions with no interference from others, even if that means not listening and then turning a blind eye even if wrong. they don't see a person making too many mistakes, they just see valid proof that ended up not working out

too many of us are quick to judge and remove people for falling into public lobby archetypes and not wanting to deal with people who aren't like minded, which is one stimulus for the archetype of "sweaty lobby hosts that ban people and power trip". we should be trying, at every opportunity, to help them get out of that rut so the game can play at least a little bit better

Task completion is the threat that imps have to deal with. It's the reason imps have to act fast. Without the threat of task completion imps have no reason to kill and should just keep spamming a critical sabotage until crew gets too tired to fix it and win or imps give up.

MIRA is a very weird map. Polus is kinda the upgraded version of Skeld. MIRA is it's own thing.

In 2v8 roleless MIRA is a very fast game usually.

Small world means shorter clock for imps. But the compensation that imps get is incredible. Those vents are stupidly powerful. But the vents do still have the weakness that Skeld's vents have. The venting animation that can be seen no matter what.

You are not making a daring escape in the dark in hopes that some poor sucker still in the room gets blamed. They all saw that vent flap.

But the vents are still OP. And the map design makes it so that realistically crew doesn't have a choice but to vote on 7/4.

MIRA is the easiest map to score a kill win on 7/4 out of the 3 "classic" era maps.
