i have an idea for the devs, make it so if someone quits a game, that then triggers a flag that it was an intentional action to quit, so it can differentiate between that and a disconnect or bug

the black screen glitch is when a host is on the mobile version of the game and anyone gets a connection error on game start. PC is perfectly stable and innersloth wouldnt even think of disabling all mobile versions of the game.

i tested it already.

The lobby connection can be stable, its some sort of game error in the mobile version itself. That was the issue with that big hacker wave a few months back, bad security in mobile versions.

You can spot impostors faking long tasks such as Medscan, med samples, start reactor, fuel engines align engines, trash.

People will fake long tasks more often because a good majority know how to be careful of the Common tasks.

Skeld engines are fine, they're literally meant to be a long task. Not every task is supposed to be quick and painless, some are meant to take time so crewmates actually have to balance doing them with staying alive. If you remove stuff like that, you might as well just gut all the long tasks and make the game nothing but tasks that only takes a few clicks to complete. Complaining about it being "too long" sounds more like impatience than an actual game design issue.

Here is the best way to get a lobby going of your preferred settings.
1 - make a lobby with popular settings, play two rounds of that to establish a crew
2 - put on private before doing second round, play the round
3 - when you still have 7 or 8 players, make your preferred changes then put PUBLIC.
4 - wait forba few to leave and enter, once 3 or 4 enter under new settings, announce the changes. (That way you dont have a MASS QUIT upon starting next game

that's black screen glitch. happens a lot when someone DCs/leaves WHILE the game is loading in. not much of a way to prevent it unfortunately. don't instastart maybe, so you have less of a chance of someone leaving while loading

Not really.
I'm more of either exploring the map once I have all done, and/or using any security system in the map, than using and using a role for a good chunk of time, even if I'm not forced to do it.

I know I'm not forced to vent all the time as Engineer, but still, that ability is there, always waiting.
I end up becoming a glorified Crewmate that forgets they can do something.

Also, I've said before I'm not the biggest fan of being Impostor, so seeing all that cyan light on the role reveal screen is one big relief for me tbh.

Keep in mind no one here can really help you with a game temp ban. Your best bet would be to contact support on their website, but likely by the time you get a response your temp ban will already have winded down, so would be best to wait.

Intentional disconnects and things of the sort will result in punishments like temp bans, so try to make sure to play in a stable network environment or not intentionally disconnect if you don't get the role you were wanting.

thats crazy, i remember when there was 100+ vc channels with most of them full everyday

yeah, it's annoying, but like 90% of the reports and moderator pings we got were from people arguing in there and it was very often either a troll on a fresh account who just makes a new one when we ban them, or it's just people who could not get along and they'd cause a huge problem in the server often resulting in both sides getting banned

I entertained the idea of like an "invite" system so you can give access to your friends to join those channels, but if they broke rules you'd be held liable too, but that would require a lot of work on my end to get the bot to facilitate that

We already have an opt-in role that any user can ping when they're hosting games

and it'll ping everyone with that role via a command

Ultimately I want the channels to be easy to use and access but I also want to make it hard for trolls to just hop on with a new account, and I want to prevent people from just using the matchmaking channels to argue with each other over everything like it was before

idk if you were here for it pre-rework but the channel was very toxic at times

I can't just make it an account age thing because trolls can just make a bunch of accounts and sit them in here in advance and have plenty of accounts to use to mess with the VCs

Unfortunately it got to the point where a lot of mods just did not want to touch that channel (honestly, myself included) because if a mod spoke in there, we'd just get abuse thrown at us from both sides of the argument

It's a topic we talked about a lot and are still talking about, and I'm under no illusion that the level gating has worked flawlessly, it only succeeded in preventing abuse by practically killing off the channel, and I'm also not satisfied with that. I don't intend to completely do away with the new level system but if I can find a way to have the two coexist then I'm more than happy to do it
