Depends on the game.

Among us for example cost money because the game was not free to make. The mobile version at the time ran ads every so often to offset the free cost on mobile, but inappropriate ads led to it being shuttered, and replaced by the cosmetics if i remember correctly.

which aligns with the idea that venting should not be considered suspicious unless under specific circumstances

I think that imps should be encouraged to use more sabotages. Theres barely a reason to not call lights. The same 30 second sab cooldown still applies. What if your cooldown on just your last used sabotage is longer by some amount. Like say 15 seconds longer

So say lights was used on Polus. Then after 30 seconds Reactor and Comms are available and not Lights. Lights takes an additional 15 seconds till it is ready.

Do you mean your lobbies? Players really don't like empty lobbies and it's very hard to host a lobby in these conditions so you might need at least 2 players to have a better chance of attracting players

look for speed in the 1-1.5 range. higher than 1.75 usually signals lack of patience. bare minimum 90 seconds of time before voting ends. more is better. if this is too short, again, lack of patience and attention span. more likely to just shout "RED SUS, TRUST". make sure vision settings are sane. imps with less vision than crew... why??? crew with 1 vision or more... may as well not even sabotage lights, why bother, they see everything anyway.

It is a bit of an issue to me that amoung us doesn't moderate very well. And the fact they dont fix their glitches immediately is baffling to me. I played stardew valley and he fixed his crap right away within 24-48ish hours. Like good lord get ye crap together. I've seen SINGLE dev go in MID game on someones stream and fix an issue...

Spamming critical sabotages like Reactor or O2 doesn't really work the way people think. In most lobbies, all it does is drag everyone to the same spot and make your movements predictable. If you kill near the sabotage, the body usually gets found right after the fix, and now YOU'RE the person seen leaving the area. The only time a critical sabotage is strong is when it’s used for a game-ending situation or to split the last few crewmates in clutch rounds.

Outside of that, it's better to use comms or lights because they actually mess with information flow: comms kills vitals, door logs, and task checks, which is huge on maps like MIRA, and lights can create chaos that hides you mid-kill. Sabotages are tools to create windows, not something you throw out on cooldown hoping for free kills.

Oh I would never spam it. Just ocassionally throw it in as a surprise round 1 first sab. Because skilled crews expect lights round 1 it can disorient them. On Polus this also kinda splits the crew around a bit if thats something you want.

Early reactor on Polus has value mainly because it forces people into awkward rotations when they haven't established their task routes yet, and you can use that chaos to isolate someone or even track who pairs up with who. Comms on Polus is another sleeper option since it cuts vitals and delays info, which is huge if you're setting up a body to sit for a bit without being instantly discovered.

On Skeld or MIRA though, early critical sabotages don't really do much… you've got everyone stacked, nobody is spread out, and they just speedrun straight to fix. That's why it's better to hold those for later when the lobby is scattered, so you can either pull people away from bodies or force them into bad pathing while you set up the next move. It's less about spamming and more about knowing when the sabotage actually bends crew behavior in your favor.
