no you can prove a crew is a crew if they have clean vent task and you are able to vent (as a faking engineer or as an impostor)
cause if you are in a vent
and a crewmate cleans it (via the task that only crewmates can have)
then you can be sure they are a crewmate since it forces you out of the vent immediately

I am not sure. From one side they were called "infected" in the beta version of the game but in the game tips they are called parasitic alien shapeshifter which indicates they pretend to be a crewmate without being one
Both of those instances appear in nature: everyone heard about body-controlling parasites like Cordyceps fungus but there are also insects that live in ant nests pretending to be ants only to feed on their eggs/ larvae

Favorite kill location: Specimen hallways on Polus. Body stacking is a very risky strategy and very rare that a game will demand you employ it.
My least favorite death spot is every early game high traffic area that imp should have no business escaping sus in. I want imps to be playing good not bad. These deaths usually result in me going 1 for 1 and crew snowballs in the 1v7.

In noob lobbies players run into electrical blindly early game and get punished for it when they end up alone.
In average lobbies players avoid electrical until a lights sabotage usually to safely do the tasks.
In expert lobbies players have finally realized that electrical has the starts to many multipart tasks. Almost everyone goes to electrical early for routing.

A quick kill in elect is a problem only in sweat lobbies. You have people on admin who will absolutely see your vent and that's assuming you can even find a kill in the first place.

i personally just kill whenever im sure that the person i am with is VERY alone or ill be able to manipulate people into thinking someone else killed- e.g. if i saw someone outside of normal vision walk out of electrical, and i go into elec, and theres a guy there- i'll kill him and vent and if the body is reported soon, gg! easy vote out if someone saw the other guy

I have been going back and forth with the support staff since July 25th, providing screen shots and videos capturing these things. I was told that each "leaving the game" slowly increases and was told to just wait it out, but over 14 hours? I've only lost connection twice since my last email to them on the 3rd, so today's black screen issue forcing me to close apparently was a huge deal to the system. I never purposely leave, even if its a toxic room, I just wait it out and leave when the game is done. I only just started playing this again this week since I stopped playing around the 3rd!
I sent another email, but I doubt nothing will happen because its never the same person replying to me.

I generously gave the black screen 10 minutes to resolve but I heard everyone leave the lobby and it was just me left waiting for resolution

I'm just so upset because this wasn't an issue until end of July for me. And even more so that I had probably the worst week in ages and just wanted to play something to numb my brain. But first game of the day, and I am banned for 14 hours. Icing on the crap cake. I honestly thought after I returned this week and only had two disconnects that everything was getting better because when I started having issues, I was disconnecting 30+ times per day (luckily majority in lobby and not in game). The last ban I had was for 8 minutes on July 30th, I tried playing again a few more times with little luck and stopped around the 3rd hoping it was being worked on.

The Skeld is still around and pretty much unchanged, but you've got MIRA HQ (compact, with door logs instead of cameras), Polus (open layout, outside tasks, and a big security network), The Airship (massive map with ladders, moving platforms, and multiple spawn points), and now The Fungle (a weird, organic jungle map with fungi and mushrooms tasks). Crew Roles: Scientist (sees vitals from anywhere), Engineer (can vent), Guardian Angel (protects crewmates after dying), and Tracker (can track other players by clicking on the desired player whilst viewing their map), Noisemaker (sends out an alert to all players upon death by the impostor, can change depending on the settings, for a limited duration).
Imp Roles: Shapeshifter (turn into any player for limited time), and depending on lobby settings, others like Phantom (which can basically turn invisible for a limited duration, but is unable to kill while being invisible). These completely change the strategy because now people can explain weird behavior with a role claim.

I'd say Scientist is the strongest overall because live vitals from anywhere completely change how the game revolves. It gives hard info other roles can't match, you can spot when a kill happened within seconds, check on alibis, and even sometimes expose shapeshifter plays when the timeline doesn't add up. It's the kind of role that forces impostors to kill more cautiously instead of just picking people off whenever they feel like it.
