I'm sorry, but what? That is NOT an expert lobby already then, the way they restrict certain gameplay elements like that doesn't mean they're “expert” the way you would describe it as.

Again see, that's not “expert” at all. That's just people trying to force the game to play out the way they want because they don't like being outplayed. “No selfing”? Really? That is literally a core impostor move. Not every self-report is some panic but… sometimes it's strategic as hell. You pull it off clean, you throw the whole room into the oblivious. Banning that just screams “I don't know how to read plays that aren't obvious.” It also assumes that every time a player has reported a body means that they're insta-hcd (hard cleared) without any doubt, considering the players would obviously follow the rule right..? No, fuck that. And what if Imps break that rule, are you REALLY going to ban them… over that?

Same with “no cams.” Cams are also part of the game. You don't like being seen? Then don't play sloppy near security. Removing them doesn't make it more competitive, it just removes another layer of play that skilled players actually know how to work around. Instead of complete removal, add certain time intervals for fairness so they don't consistently camp Cams. These lobbies want the label of “expert,” but don't actually want the difficulty that comes with real freedom of strategy.

If you're blocking entire mechanics, you're not playing expert. You're just scared of people using the game better than you.

I usually play on medium kill distance. Long makes it feel like I got killed from a room away due to lag and the actual setting.

Long kill distance just doesn't make sense to me. It removes any real opportunity to react or escape. You think you're safe, and suddenly you're dead from what looks like halfway across the map, (sarcasm). It's not even just about lag, it turns every encounter into a guessing game instead of something you can actually outplay.

Medium works depending on the lobby and the players, but it still has moments where it feels off. Sometimes you die even when you swear there was space. With short, at least there's room for some ACTUAL decision-making. If someone is following you, you have a real chance to dodge or take a different route. It does reward quick awareness n' thinking, not just proximity abuse. That's the kind of gameplay I'd rather have.

Short is too small. You gotta be hugging the person or wait for them to do a task so you can shoot them. And that raises quite a lot of sus on you.

So medium is usually my ideal way to go.

With short, kills take more skill and timing, and crewmates actually have a chance to react or escape, rather than no escape/a possible chance to escape. I'm making it hard for both teams to get their easy ways out than it to be harder.

That is true, but again… “balance” matters more than “comfort”. If one setting gives a huge advantage just because it's “easier,” it stops being sustainable for everyone. Short kill distance keeps impostors from abusing range and forces smarter play, not just faster ones.

thats just stingy lobbies- banning people when they say start is kinda okay (i do it if someone says start on 8 or lower if people are still joining) but rules are NOT really a "good lobby" thing- the only rules i really do in my lobbies are

• please do not group up more than a duo for extended periods of time
• please actually talk during the meeting if you reported the body
• do not do obviously dumb things (e.g. calling meeting as scientist because somebody just died, or calling meeting round 1 because someone vented obviously infront of you with roles on)

Opinion: Target killing the smartest crewmate in the lobby early is a pretty good idea and can lead to winning. Its also cowardly and you should be ashamed of yourself for doing it.

For starters, there's another way to look at it: taking out the most perceptive player early can actually backfire. When a well-known smart crewmate dies first, it immediately puts suspicion on players who either had motive or were nearby, especially if that person usually lives longer.

It narrows the pool fast. In such lobbies where players actually think, (yes, obviously the experts), a first-round “coincidental” kill of the sharpest one, there is no way that was random, and that attention isn't always easy to shake off. So, it's not just cowardly, but can be a risk-factor too.

Why would that said player die first so fast conveniently? Hmm, it's time we look at some players

the settings menu, especially, needs a huge overhaul

for example, a confirmation dialog for leaving games. in the lobby, there shouldn't be one because being able to easily leave lobbies you don't want to be in should still be a priority, but during gameplay you should be forced to go through an extra step to leave in case you accidentally hit the button or you try to leave instantly if something happens to you that you don't like

Well after a somewhat decent and lengthy 30-minute Mira game the imp sucked and was caught immediately

also, it's way too cluttered and it messes with gameplay because you'll keep moving in the direction you're going if you open it up while moving. this is a bug that has never been fixed and has just now started happening when you open up the cosmetics box as well

It was 50/50 it was like, lots of ppl liked it and didn't,

It benefit me cuz im in the modding community and you finally can see host names again just like in 2022 but with mods, lobby list shrinked to 5 and its not about top list = highest players and bottom, lowest players in room cuz now its random but 5 in list, you can refresh every 1s on the list. But again mod brought it back to 10 which im happy.

Pretty glad about it currently I got used to it, the change is good but still a few flaws and thats it

Among Us new gamemode idea:

Everyone's an impostor and the impostors goal is, TO FIX THE SABOTAGE. Everything is sabotaged and theres levels.

Everything is sabotaged and you have 20s to fix them be fast!

After you fix it, theres level 2 which gets harder, there is different sabotage places like in cafeteria, if you fail to fix it, half of the ship breaks, your other mates are on the other half side of the map, you gotta fix it, you have 2 tries, you gotta fix the ship somehow. If u fail to fix sabotages, skeld map crashes down and you lose, you get a new currency called diamonds, which you can spend on new type of cosmetics or pass.
