I won't say that the player expectations for this game are too high, because the developers try their damnedest to keep up with player demand and they're feeding us pretty damn good with what they cooked up. But I am saying that the experience players want from this game is tainted by the sentiments they carry other titles which is why some of their complaints may seem "ungrateful" to die hard Among Us fans and Innersloth supporters.
I am a die hard Among Us fan. I want to see this game grow and get the quality of life improvements it deserves, and I want to see Innersloth do more collaborations and cultivate this fan base that has developed around it. That the framework for this game has not changed since I started playing the game in 2020 and all that has come within the five years since then are adjustments to everything but core gameplay means this game is not pay to win. The decision to have in game currency opened up new options for us to purchase cosmetics, because before then, everything was paid. To see new fans want more from that in game currency is a valid sentiment, especially since almost no promotional cubes have cost beans in the last year—but just wait for that to happen, and if you deem that bean cube to not be worth your time or not enough because the starvation you felt from Innersloth not giving you cubes to purchase with your beans raised your expectations so your patience can be fully validated, that's valid too; but don't equate that to developer incompetence, because it isn't.
