First, All players in playerbase do is constantly insulting random innocent crewmates for saying anything in a kind of polite tone and no matter what it is
It's an unreasonable and idiotic behavior

It would be helpful If they mass ban the entire players in a lobby but I know it sounds extreme but...

8 tasks = less boring activity

For those who were rudely complaining about 6 to 8 tasks and expecting poor hosts to change it to 4 to 2 tasks should grow up and deal with it

Hosting nowadays feels like walking on a tightrope while a crowd throws tomatoes for fun. You at least try to set up a balanced lobby: decent task count, fair role settings, and the second someone doesn't like one thing, they act like it's personal betrayal.

All I can say is that sucks, I get the about the same amount of hate with 10 tasks. Which for me, is still not enough

To be fair, 10 tasks is slightly understandable to some degree (but still, kinda dum to complain)
On a serious/normal enviroment, 10 tasks is just enough to "slow down" or keep the crew busy for enough time.
Public players are NOT on that category.

I think 8 is just enough for the settings I would usually do.

The absurd attitude people have over normal task counts. Six to eight tasks isn't excessive - it's literally just giving crewmates something to do. People act like they're being sentenced to hard labor if they have more than 5. I get it, not everyone's hardcore about the game, but when you sign up to play Among Us, your job as crewmate is to do tasks. That's the game loop.

Reducing it to 2-4 just means crewmates sit around, finish in a minute, and then either become bored ghosts or start sussing people randomly out of impatience. It ruins the pacing. Not to mention, it totally skews balance toward Impostors.

You can always set the player limit to 10, play without roles and avoid any map that isn't the original 3.

Only way right now is to block them through the in-game Friends list system. If you block someone, they won't be able to add you or join your lobbies through friend-based systems - but it doesn't stop random matchmaking.
So if they find your public game by chance, they can still join.

There's no permanent ban-from-my-lobbies feature yet, which sucks if someone keeps trolling or griefing. Best option is block + switch lobbies or go private.

And you can actively check for anyone that's currently on your BL (aka Block list), and immediately ban them off the lobby if so.

Yeah, that happens now - Innersloth added a system that punishes what it thinks are intentional disconnects to cut down on rage-quitting and game disruption. Problem is, it's not perfect.
If your connection drops even once too many times too fast, it can mistake it for intentional behavior and hit you with that 5-minute cooldown or more.

It's super frustrating, especially when you did nothing wrong. Basically, you get flagged even for unlucky timing or a bad signal. Nothing to do except wait it out.

I feel like if Airship didn't had the ladders, it would probably be one of, if not the best HnS map.
Similar feeling to Skeld, but with more places to actually hide and hope for the best.... But the ladders unfortunately ruin it.

Airship can be somewhat saved, they removed the floating platform, they could hopefully do the same with ladders.

Airship could technically work with some adjustments, but removing ladders kinda strips away what makes Airship… well, Airship. It's designed with verticality in mind, and taking that out leaves a huge gap - literally and design-wise.

Plus, there's already so much uneven access across the map. Like someone said, trying to get from one side to the other can feel like a whole mission on its own.

Buffing the Seeker is kind of a band-aid over a much bigger problem: the map design. Like yeah, you could crank their speed or give them vision or whatever, but that just punishes Crewmates for a layout that was never meant for this mode in the first place.

Airship isn't just big, it's disjointed. Too many chokepoints, one-way paths, ladders that stall movement, and huge dead zones. If you buff the Seeker too much, it just turns into a slaughterhouse with no counterplay.
