Playing with 3 impostors can break the balance fast, especially in lobbies with fewer than 12-15 players. If the crewmates don’t vote out an impostor in the first two meetings, the game’s practically over — 3 kills in one round is often enough to end it. It also discourages real discussion since the impostors can overwhelm with sheer numbers or double-kill constantly to avoid suspicion.

With 2 impostors, the pacing is way better. Crewmates have time to gather evidence, meetings matter more, and both sides actually have a fair shot. It’s way more strategic and less of a slaughter.

Quoting myself from the past on why 3 imp is impossible to TRULY balance:

KCD low means too many die too fast with more than 1 imp around.

KCD high means 1 imp can't kill fast enough to outmaneuver a lot of crewmates.

3 imp games require high KCD for 3 imps then low KCD once down to 1 imp. Which is something you can't change mid-game. So 3 imp needs contradictory settings within one game for balance.

Exactly — that’s the core issue with 3 imps. You can’t dynamically scale Kill Cooldown (KCD), so the settings either let 3 imps wipe too fast early on, or leave the last imp totally helpless later. The game doesn’t adapt to impostor count mid-round, so it always ends up lopsided one way or the other. That’s why 2 imp is way more stable — fewer contradictions to manage.

And to combat spies in the vents, impostors can cut comms before killing to make sure they're not being invisibly watched.

Balancing a 2 imp start to become a 1 imp isn't too hard.

1 imp needs a low enough KCD so an imp can reasonably solo the number of players, and the number of players shouldn't be high enough for people to easily double up and HC their buddy while getting tasks done. 1 imp is toughest to make the imp have a chance.

2 imp has a LOT of new tricks from teamwork, but also new settings that can help/hinder them (1 imp doesn't care if confirms are on and is less effected by non-anon votes). There should be enough crewmates and a high enough KCD for the crew to not be wiped out in seconds from the doubled killing power. It benefits greatly from anon votes, but not TOO much that their two votes become a balance issue.

3 imps have incredible discussion power (Imagine 3 people hard accusing a single crewmate, or 1 player clearing a partner and the 3rd subtle push to believe that, etc), enough votes to start invoking hive mind (3 people just voted this guy!), and is best with crewmate-leaning settings like long KCD, visuals on, non-anon votes, and confirms on. 3 imp is toughest to make the crew have a chance.

To balance a 3 imp game that will BECOME a 1 imp, you need to balance for ALL THREE types... which reall do not balance nicely together easily.

The real version of who you morphed into says they were in O2 with someone who can confirm. Suddenly, you’ve got no alibi, someone’s already yelling ‘SS play’ in chat, and three crewmates are hard-clearing each other.

Now you’re stuck either fake-claiming a role someone already has, or going silent while they build a bulletproof timeline to vote you out with 10 seconds left on the clock. It’s over.

I don't see how it's possible for Hosts to get kicked that easily in games, especially if they've done nothing wrong and a hater & his friends gang up on the Host to get them booted from the game, 3 votes for the Host as well too? It's ridiculously unfair that the Host gets the same amount of required votes as the others. How about this: we double the amount of votes needed to get the Host booted. 6 players… that's all I'm asking for, only the Host gets that required amount.

If players REALLY wanted to get the Host out for ACUTAL genuine reasons they'd need themselves & 5 OTHER players to execute it. But 3? Nah, how easy it is to create 2 other alts and keep booting the Host if people really wanted to do so without the Host ever knowing who did it.

I also believe that the ghosts should be able to kick, but because ghosts cannot communicate with alive players, all ghosts would need to kick for it to count as one third of the vote needed

You can't.

Once you’ve been banned from a lobby in Among Us, that’s it — you’re out. You can’t appeal it, and it’s not linked to your official Among Us account, so there’s no central “ban review” system. The ban is tied to your friend code and session data, and if the host doesn’t want you there, they have every right to use the tools at their disposal to keep you out. Trying to rejoin using a VPN, name change, or alt tactics won’t help for long — hosts will often block your friend code again the moment they detect it. Some even keep a mental or written list and actively check every joining player to make sure banned users don’t slip back in.

Even if you get back in temporarily, they’ll just ban you again — rinse and repeat — until you either run out of VPN servers or they create a new lobby altogether. And at that point, you’re just harassing a game lobby. Once someone is banned, they’re not welcome — it’s not a mistake, and it’s not negotiable. It’s not about whether you think it was “fair” or not. They don’t want you there, and that’s final.
