the thing is, in this game, you shouldn't stick to a certain mindset; the players' actions wholly dictate how the game is played out, so "guilty until proven innocent" is only useful in certain circumstances the same way "innocent until proven guilty" works only in certain circumstances. overall, the idea that there are certain axioms that are true for all games past the basic fundamentals of Among Us is, itself, fundamentally flawed and is what leads to dumb mistakes during gameplay

because Airship is so large and offers little in terms of surveillance, whereas a small map like Skeld has surveillance vantage points in every region of the map except storage (which is one of the reasons why [I hate Skeld](#among-us-general message)), it is highly unlikely that you will ever have the chance to familiarize yourself with electrical before you get killed or try to do tasks; keep in mind that tasks are still the crew's best bet to winning on Airship because the map is so large that prioritizing staking out is not productive, so you're in a catch-22. the key to winning on Airship is quite literally to be at the right place at the right time or be a noisemaker (which was undoubtedly added to give leverage to larger maps), and, as I posited, needing roles to make the overall fare of a game more enjoyable just means the map itself was badly designed

Ok let me make it easier for you to understand:
The vent icon for the imposter uses the old icon, however the engineer role was made after the art revamp and so it is drawn in the new artstyle. You can tell because the visor of the crewmate is more rounded and pops out in the engineer icon however the imposter vent icon was made before the art revamp and so it uses the old crewmate model and you can see this because the visor is flat and the visor is also rectangular. So, maybe that old imposter vent icon should be revamped. Also, I'm not just talking about the imposter vent icon but what if all of those old icon were updated. Would give the game some more polish!

Wait a sec, do you guys think the reason they changed the visor from being flat and rectangular to round and pops out because every among us fan animation got the visor wrong, they always made it round and pop out because that is what the model in the game looks like (in a way). (Well except for GameToons with their Among Us Logic series).

The most likely place to get full modded games is simply to join their official communities, where there are already a bunch of like-minded people

The way they go about fixing a core balance issue.

The original design was 1x of any role you turn on. That's it. 1x of that role, 100% of the time, and roles were team-locked (an impostor could never be the sheriff. That was always a crewmate). Which means that the crewmate that got that role can easily say "I'm the [role]", and that's it. Imp can't do anything except counter-claim it and get into a 50/50, or accept the hard clear.

This was never properly fixed. Lobbies started implementing a house rule of no role claiming. This sets a precedent that crewmates are forced to start hiding info.

The house rule was turned into a role/ability. If imps find out what role you are, you die. No good countermeasure. No being able to hide. The countermeasure... is to trick imps into thinking you're something else.

That is a complete reversal. It makes crewmates into pseudo-impostors, hiding their identities to stay alive. It makes impostors into pseudo-crewmates, deducting who is what hidden role to eliminate them.

Instead of making it where claiming a role doesn't mean you're hard clear (acievable by carefully designing roles to be team-agnostic and benefiting the user whether they're imp or crew, or placing randomised counts of each crewmate-exclusive role per game so there can be seeds of doubt beyond a simple 50/50), they choose to flip the entire game around and turn the detectives into the ones hiding their identity and the ones that are supposed to manipulate and lie into the detectives.
