Yup. I reserve the term "teaming" exclusively for out-of-game communication.

I know some people use it as a catch-all for both that and deliberately working with a player on the opposite side (crewmate/impostor working together, covering for each other), but I like having distinct terms for things.

The crewmate/impostor working together thing I don't have a set term for. Maybe just 3rd imping? But more often than not there is also teaming going on (out-of-game communication). You can tell because they won't say anything and will silently vote together.

Unintentionally working with imp because you were absolutely hoodwinked is called "getting marinated" or "3rd imping"

Any out of game communication is just cheating. The term teaming implies it is more acceptable than other forms of cheating when it is not.

I'm late but can't believe this has to be said. Innersloth constantly proves they live up to the "sloth" part of their name in regards to fixing issues until said issue affects way too high a percentage of the player base that their support system finally gets flooded with the same issue from hundreds to thousands of different sources.

Fungle release. Over 4 months. For over 4 months crewmates legitimately doing tasks had glitchy movement that was impossible to fake. For 4 months the game was unplayable for people who don't cheat but use every legitimate advantage the game gives them but still wants an actual game.

Heaven forbid you are an imp and a crewmate knew the trick. You lost on role distribution.

Reasons:

• Airship has lights sabotage which Fungle doesn't have, meaning that it's harder to counter against grouping up Crewmates on Fungle than on Airship.
• Since Airship has players spawn in different locations every round + the map being big, unintentional grouping is less likely unless it's co-ordinated and in the first round, it'd have to be co-ordinated in the lobby.

Airship really needs more than 10. 12 would be minimum i think. polus works quite well with 10, but can support up to 12-13 without stress. skeld and mira really get too crowded above 10-11. fungle... is iffy. i think it's better with a few more than 10.

Mushroom Mixup gives ALL imps a means to combat grouping, instead of only shapeshifters having that ability.

Telescope not being cut off during comms sabotage means comms isn't the only useful sabotage, but it's the best one for splitting people up

Mushroom Mixup does not prevent a meeting being called, so shouldn't be used as a game ender.

The green mushrooms provide imps a way to kill in the open unseen, and provides crewmates a way to sidestep a killer or spy on what's going on right outside the smoke.

Fungle has a lot going for it.

So I was doing some classic pubs admin camping on Skeld and notice a lot of venting activity in the med-sec-elec triangle. The round ends with someone venting into medbay and then purple reports they found a body in medbay and blue is on cams and blue vouches for purple walking into medbay.

Roles were on so I was very careful and asked purple if they were a special role. Purple said no so then I buried purple and blue just like that.

Blue was super mad when I just buttoned for his ejection instead of waiting and decided to call me a transphobic slur (I do run trans pride as my nameplate because while I am not trans myself trans rights are human rights). The greatest case of madcuzbad I have seen in a looong time.

Also while it wasn't a madcuzbad moment I did get host of a lobby at one point and when I am host I run my lobbies like a dictator. One of my biggest pet peeves is if you get asked a question in a meeting and just don't respond to it and say nothing and vote and hope no one will notice you are ignoring it.

Participation is required when requested in my lobbies and I do push for ejection in that moment when you literally vote while being asked something.

There were 2 such people who didn't respond and voted when asked the simple question of "where did you end?"

It was a very important question because the player asking caught a vent animation in fog of war.

Both of those players turned out to be the imps in that game.

It was kinda funny. Not as funny as the madcuzbad blue guy.

Voting while discussions are happening is in general rude but many people do it anyways and it's why the pubs meta is to accuse right as voting opens up if the mandatory discussion time is short or nonexistant.

(in pubs I have 30/90 for meetings usually, if a lobby of players is so votehappy that it requires that I make the split 45/75 or worse I am usually just quitting among us for the day instead)

They can still join lobbies you are in though, not sure if it also means you don’t join lobbies they are in too..

Unless things have changed, since the block feature was rolled out, it’s just a indicator to the player that someone on their block list in the lobby, it does not automatically kick or ban said player

Yeah I think in the lobby list, it will still show lobbies even if someone on your block list is in them because its not real time updates, pretty sure there is a delay

It stops them from sending you a friend request, and shows their name in red if you check the player list.

Comes with lots of nice QoL options for hosts. People you ban STAY banned, even in future lobbies. They can't VPN around it either.

Can set it up to deny anyone with a certain name. (The list is inclusive, so don't put something like "I" on the list. It will block anyone with an "i" in their name lol)

You can also set up a list of banned words and words that have the same meaning as "start". Both of those you can choose to give a warning period (say them X number of times and you're kicked, or kick on first offense)

Friends list in the mod lets you have people will not be autokicked/banned.

I usually try to start (heh) a lobby with a "Say start twice and you're kicked" setting. Until the start goblins come out full force. Then it's "Say it and you're out. BYE!"

It bans the person completely. If they try to get back in with VPN it will see they're the same person and boot them.

It lets you have an actual block list. Not the sorry excuse of a blocklist that's in the regular game.

More lobby options, you can kind of do via other mods. Set up wacky settings there (like .65 vision hehe) and they will stay when you reload vanilla.

Sadly for more advanced fun options, Innersloth would have to do that

They're on the same team, but are as clueless on who the others are as the crewmates are. Find your teammates to work with them without alerting the crewmates about it.

Example on a 3v12, initial kill cooldown is 35s or 40s, once it's down to 2 Imps cooldown is lowered to 25s, and if it's down to 1 too early, down even more to 20s or 15s.

I've been in VC servers before, and it's a bit of a mixed bag for me.
For one part, it does make communication faster... And that's about it.
Most of the servers were Polus only (not that I hate the funny purple planet, but it gets boring after the 5th round).

Yeah. A lot of the public VCs are just 24/7 Polus with minimal roles. And like I kinda agree with minimal roles because you kinda want a more competitive game but then they go and enable noisemaker as one of their minimal roles, one of the least competitive roles in the game.

There is nothing competitive about getting an otherwise solid kill and having the kill's location broadcast to everyone.
