Generally the storyline I do is meant to be a sort of prologue kind of thing, set at a point in time where it’s straight up policy to execute anyone accused of being an impostor.

With a few exceptions, crewmates follow that, and imps can’t survive without being hidden. Their crime is existing.

“Prologue” because there are several fan characters and stories with imps and crewmates just like, chill. It would take some time and effort to get to that point from the in-game state where their goal is to eliminate each other.

Slightly more feedback: Good use of Just a Dream to show off a scenario that's pretty unrealistic to achieve! (Crewmates and impostors coexisting to the point where there's no more casualties~~, and MIRA caring enough about the beans to not send them into life-threatening situations that end in casualties~~)

Bonus that dreams can be your unconscious brain trying to work out stressors, which it comes off as a case of that!

In my opinion, no matter how much crews and imps coexist, there's always gonna be a type of conflict between them, a tribe mentality, like some imps think of themselves as superior to crews, or that some crews think imps are not needed and sees them as nothing more but predators.

I think I mentioned it before but if not
I'm pretty sure my Mira basically intentionally sends imps with the crews, usually to try kill them off or get them off the shoulders of Mira HQ (They didn't like having imps in mira but were fine elsewhere) and some imps would be hostile, others like Grey were passive.
I can't remember what we chose but I'm headcanoning it for Grey's Mira

(Also if it wasn't obvious, whenever I refer to something as Grey's, it's usually referring to the universe Grey came from)

I do like when imps and crews get along, obviously not the entire time but sometimes yea I like it

AU has a situation set up whee MIRA can play either side up at big boss level and very easily accidentally put a worker in a group where they'll die.

Crewmates are trained to ALWAYS have an emergency button. Even when stranded. Encourage anti-impostor propaganda, make sure lawsuits won't nbe a problem, and you got yourself a nice rotating stock of underpaid workers.

alright. i was out in town so i wasn't able to really respond, but. based on some of the responses i saw to Crew, i think not everyone quite realizes what exactly she's referring to....so buckle up kiddos... and take a little ride with me. (you may want to look away for a little while if you don't want your spirit broken and your youthful innocence crushed. wait till this wall-o-text scrolls away)

what Crew is referring to is basically... corporate greed is evil because the ones in charge do anything they can to further the bottom line, at the expense of whoever or whatever, as long as they can get away with it. and i'm not talking in a fictional sense. this is real world. NOW. you are a number not a person, and if they can get away with it, they will do it. there is a level of acceptable loss they will take. you don't matter.
in a corporate environment, they don't like a person who has worked there for a long time, at full time hours. that person has gotten several raises because their performance was good enough to keep them. and as a full time employee they also have to pay benefits for them. they would much rather have a temp or a part-timer fill the role at half the pay rate, with no need to pay them benefits, even if it means they need to constantly train new hires because of turnover. "acceptable loss". they come up with a snazzy video series that makes you feel warm and fuzzy about "joining the family" and call it a day.

now, take that mindset, and put it into an environment that includes a stressor that can completely remove the problem... an ex employee can't sue you for wrongful termination or file for unemployment or anything else if they're dead. and it's not by your hand at all! its an evil monster that did it! totally an accident. the corporation is totally not at fault! so sorry for your loss. you'll be back in on time for your shift on tuesday after your friend's funeral on monday, right?

take THAT, and realize that these impostors are intelligent. some can be reasoned with.
