#3-Day Stuck Shed on Eyes - Gecko seems tired and weak, needs help

I’m looking for some advice for my female leopard gecko, Geiger.
She started shedding about 3 days ago and is still wearing her gray shedded skin like a "coat." The skin is currently covering her eyes—one is only slightly open, and she seems very confused and disoriented because she can't see. She seems "slow," tired, and a bit weak compared to normal, likely because she's been struggling with this shed for 72 hours. When I tried to help her earlier, she made a "hissing" or huffing noise. She was eating fine 2 days ago, but refused food today.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  • The Sauna: I put her in a Tupperware with warm, wet paper towels and air holes to try to steam the skin loose.

  • Hydration: I have been giving her water via water drops on her nose, which she has been taking.

  • Vitamins: I have recently started her on vitamins to help with her skin health.

  • Video: I have a video of her behavior and how the shed looks if anyone needs to see it to provide better advice.

Enclosure & Care Specs:

  • Enclosure: 40-gallon tank (Bioactive with live plants).

  • Heating/Lighting: 100w heat lamp over rocks and a dedicated UVB light.

  • Supplements: Repti Calcium (crickets are dusted).

She panicked back into her hide after her last soak. I’m worried about the skin on her eyes since it's been a couple of days. Is this just exhaustion from the shed, and how can I safely help her get those eye caps off without stressing her out more?

Quick question- is she just getting calcium?

Repti Calcium

#

I tried taking a qtip and gently rubbing, I didn't feel the skin give and I didn't wanna hurt her so I didn't push it any farther. I'm worried as bout it being in her eye

This was an earlier picture

And the day before this

She also sometimes gets Reptivite vitamin powerder, but only once in a while because it has vitamin d3 in it. She has a UVB light

So she should be getting a multivitamin every 4th meal roughly

#

Which multi do you have?

#

Was asking about the mv as they start degrading before the expiry date so

#

Wanted to double check that

#

Also wanted to make sure she was getting vitamin A as that can sometimes contribute to shedding issues

She's still worrying me a bit tho

#

She is active and runs when I interact, but she seems sluggish still

#

She had a new water bowl.. you think she's scared of it or doesn't know where to get water?

NTA but if she was truly lethargic she would barely react/not react at all to stimuli!

#

she may just be a lil more tired after doing that shed :3 NTA once again though

She had some shed stuck in one of her eyes, and some other shed on her face

#

i got it off with warm water and a qtip

#

as for the one close to her eye, it was a bit more stubber and I didnt want to hurt her eye

#

I gently pulled it as it was basically off and lose (I only made this decision because of those factors, as I didn't want to damage her skin or eye), just sadly stuck in her eye. But now shes got not shed, and she has no more irritation in her eyes

For future reference if she ever gets shed in her eye again it’s best to take them to a vet to remove it :3
