I'm finding difficulty getting my girls' tanks past 80°F. Their tanks are glass with vents which I know doesn't retain heat as well as pvc. Both lamps are deep dome using 75w Halogen bulbs placed directly over the hot side. I just put one of them on a thermostat and will put the other in later. Would I need to use a uvb bulb during the day to further heat the tank or is there another way to raise the temperature?

uvb will not provide heat but they should still be given it during the day. you will want a linear one.
The arcadia 7% shadedweller will work for your tanks.
Heat wise put foam sheets on the outsides on the sides and foil on the lids making sure to not touch the fixtures. will help insulate and hold heat in more.
I forgot to say I have two che bulbs for supplemental.
I'll look into the shadedweller.
For the sheets, are you talking about these?
like styrofoam sheets. and you can turn the che on during the day if needed.
When you say foil on the lids, you mean literally wrap foil around the top of the screens of the tanks with the some space for the fixture? Or like fold a large square and put it on top of the tanks next to the lamp?
I'm trying to wrap my head around that one.
Wow. This won't restrict airflow?
no the foil isn't like. air tight. it just helps hold the heat in more
Heavy Duty, Non-Stick, or Regular?

like. aluminum foil.
for cooking.
tin foil

Okay so,
- Wrap the lids in foil.
- Use a linear UVB bulb.
- Use a che bulb
- Put Styrofoam on the sides.
Is there anything else?
sounds like a solid plan
