i just noticed this on my gecko this afternoon. i don’t know what this could be. i thought her eye was watery and tried to catch it with a small q tip by hear tear duct but didnt seem like anything was catching onto it. i’m getting really worried because i haven’t had an issue with her in the past five (?) years ive owned her and money is tight and i’m praying this isn’t a severe issue. first image is the normal eye, second image is the weird looking eye, and third is the difference in size (left side being the worrying one)

if anyone has any ideas please let me know because i want to get this fixed asap.

nta but you shouldn't really ever try to deal with eye issues on your own since they are a sensitive organ and it's very easy to mess something up and then their eyes are messed up
but uhh nta that does not look normal indeed, I'd wait for a second opinion but you may want to consult a vet possibly

oh no yea! i’m definitely gonna see a vet , i just held a q tip up near the corner of her eye to see if a tear would drop because that’s what i thought it was, didnt put it in her eye or anything . that’s exactly why i wanted an opinion because i know i cant do anything on my own 😭

It looks like swelling of the tissue around the eyeball and possibly some swelling of the lips under that, have the gecko checked for mouth rot when you go

It could just be that the eye swelling is distorting the nearby tissue
