#What reptile should I get?š š¼

i think you might be out of options
i don't think there's any lizards that canš¤
most i know of are smaller snakes, leos and afts
Plenty of small geckos
Stenodactylus
Scorpion tailed geckos
African fat tailed geckos
Ocellated skinks are another cool one
do you have accurate care info for these animals?
All current accepted minimums for these animals is of the specified enclosure size mentioned or smaller
Personally Iād argue any arid terrestrial lizard with a minimum enclosure of a 36x18x18 should really be put in a 4x2x2
I donāt recommend afts for 99% of people but rosy boas can go in 40 gals! Male hoggies can as well to my knowledge :0
i meant like actual care guides and such, not the min requirements
they don't want snakes though
question didn't say that
i have aft knowledge if it's needed. but again
do not reccomend them for majority of people
it says that isnt a leopard gecko or snake
yeahš
that's why i didn't have any options
bug*
bug tankkkkkk ummm cool plant vivarium
pictus gecko
I found a cutie on morphmarket
NTA A few reptiles I could think of that go in that size tank or smaller! Ofc lots of research wil need to be done if you intend to get one. But hereās a list of some :D
Red eyed crocodile skink - min 24ā x 18ā x 18ā (Moderate difficulty labeled by reptifiles)
Cat eyed gecko - Min 18ā x 18ā x 18ā (Reptifiles note these guys are hard to care for tho)
Cave gecko - min 24 x 18 x 18 (Reptifiles labels them as moderate)
Viper gecko - Min 24 x 18 x 18 (easy as labeled by reptifiles)
Fire Skink - Min 36 x 18 x 18 (Moderate as labeled by reptifiles)
Peterās rock agama - min 36 x 18 x 16
OH OOPS I DIDNT SEE THUS
Nvm ignore me then PFPFPF
From what I know from other keepers Cave geckos do better in a 36x18x24!
(Reptifiles also is poopy for a lot of stuff. Some are okay but
)
Ofc! Bigger is always better!! I agree, I was just putting the min requirement from reptifiles
YEA FAIR GAHA
Lots of reptiles that need updating
She says leos can cohab and live on sand
And her backup for that is āwell Pakistan has desertsā
Canāt even link a study when I can link her soil composition studies easily
just āWELL THERES DESERTSā
Okay
so youāre not actually scientifically backed got it.
Reptifiles does??
Yes
Thereās a whole section about cohabbing now
And under substrates pure sand is recommended
AH I SEE
I mostly read the top where it says generally speaking, they shouldnāt be housed together
Reptifiles how could you forsake meee
Yeh itās icky. Thereās no actual scientific evidence or reasoning behind why theyāre spotted together in the wild so you canāt just say āwell they like eachother in the wildā
Like I personally asked her where she got the sand info from when I saw it and that was her literal response to me
āThereās deserts in their rangeā
Okay Mariah you need to do a little better than that youāre talking to someone who reads soil composition studies for fun and has like 2-3 for Pakistan alone- ANYWAYS
Name it pumpkin
Oh eek
HAHAH get her!
Update: im going to my local reptile store to browse so I can have a look at species etc so I can see what I want š
