ok
Coconut shit: I'm going to make the assumption you mean coco fiber.
Can I see a picture of both enclosures?
nooooššššš
I need to get money first
sorry for taking so long baby food here cost over 200$ a month yk
Ahh the picture you sent is from the top of the tank.
It was a little hard to figure out.
no no I just got new things
I understand. I am stating my confusion.
yeah
From the top down, I thought you were showing off a new tank, but itās just the current one you have.
Ok, while itās small and an upgrade should come later, we can work with it.
I understand. She needs to really see an exotic vet in person.
You might have to continue to call every single day until they get you in.
Yes, you've said that before.
Yes, you have mentioned that before.
The only thing we can tell you regarding that behavior is she needs to see a vet.
The closest one is only Saturday and not 100%
Keep calling.
If you can get to a vet in person that would be the most helpful thing you can do.
For now, can we focus on the tank?
ok
Can you send me a picture of the tank, please?
Itās this one that I just send before
Can you reupload it here?
Ok, so we do want to remove that Coco fiber. So we can replace it with paper towels.
We want to give her a sterile environment since she is ill.
Yes SORRU
Sorry*
Im just feeding my daughter at this moment im really sorry can I text in like a 5 min?
Sure.
I'm at work. I'll respond when I can.
That's fine. Its a great start.
While the tank is still small. We still want to provide a basking area if we can.
whatās that
A basking area is an area that the gecko can bask.
Like rocks stacked atop each other, which will allow her to absorb heat.
You're going to want over head heating to accomplish this.
oh
So
Iām gonna need heating ligjt loke the red one but not red?
my tank is really short
so Iām scared itāll burn her
Ahh yes. That is quite small.
Is it bad?
Do you have any second hand selling websites in your country?
Yes
Its far too small height wise for her.
It looks better, however, its far from practical.
A big one?
The size they need is a 36x18x18 in inches. So yes, that is a big one.
thatās so cheap whatttt
A plastic bin might be a good starting option. It would give you more space and is a cheaper option.
For me itās like 500$ in here
Then why nobody is using it?
I also saw growing rant
Tent
Whatever that called
A lot of people use plastic bins as a starting cheap enclosure option.
Do you think it will help her heal?
However, I want to ask Yuli and I don't mean this in a rude way at all.
huh?
Are you positive you are able to provide for this animal financially?
I know you mentioned you have a child. Child care is expensive and these animals are expensive.
I mean
Itās not that I really really cant, itās just that I have to avoid getting other stuff and get stuff for her.
like new clothes for me, new toys for my daughter.
not that I wonāt be able to live without these stuff, but I got really connected to heršš
I understand that, however, this animal needs drastic upgrades in a short span. This is going to cost a lot of money.
In addition to the upgrades, she needs medical care.
I need you to really sit down and think about this.
even if Iām gonna rehome her Iām gonna need to give her medical care before
One of the best things we can do for our animals is provide them a home that can cover these costs when we cannot.
Not necessarily.
There are individuals out there that will take her even with her medical issues.
I think it would be better for you and her if she can be rehomed.
I get that, however, is it fair to her right now?
She needs medical care and a lot of upgrades.
yes I know
I understand itās hard to give up a pet like this, especially when we, as owners, become attached.
But she needs a lot, Yuli. Right now, youāre already paying for things for your daughter.
It might be best for her to go to someone who is able to provide more for her at this time.
I get that.
Would you be able to afford a 1k vet bill right now?
On top of a new enclosure?
Her medical issues could potentially cost around $1,000.
She will need to see a vet, receive treatment, and would most likely need a follow up visit.
Medical costs for animals are not cheap.
oof
Can you afford that and the other things you need in life right at this moment?
You also need to factor in the upgrades she needs.
So can you pay for all of this in a short time frame?
And ask yourself is it fair to your animal to make her wait a long period of time if not.
no
A month for some things and other things can be dragged out.
Medical care needs to happen as soon as possible.
Then you need to start seeking out a new home for her.
I donāt want to do it
Then what would you rather happen here?
keep her
I don't think you are thinking this through.
I donāt know
This is going to cost a lot.
This is not going to be cheap.
You are going to have to pay a lot of money here to keep her.
On top of her medical issues you might have a cost that occurs monthly for medicine.
If you can afford all of that in your budget then its doable.
every month 1k?
I do not know the medical costs of your country.
I will do it
I paid 250 shekel for eye infection medicine and treatment
Tonight or tomorrow. I would go to the store and get a plastic bin. You can convert it into an enclosure for the time being.
Which is 75 us dollars
will it hurt her?
I donāt know Iām scared
Iāve done so many wrong stuff
Iām so scared now sheāll die omg
Look.
Do I need to get the new tank and everything new in less than a week?
I will help you as much as I can.
But you need to listen to us.
I have read through your message history in the past and we asked for changes that did not occur.
If you want our help then you have to listen to us.
cause
I donāt know itās hard
and before that now Iāve been to vet and she told me my tank it okau
So I was like.. maybe they are wrong??
cause I donāt think a vet will lie to me
So vets know medical care. They do not know updated husbandary.
Vets are trained to treat medical issues. Not provide husbandry advice.
We have seen it countless times in the past.
I donāt want to give her away
Iām going to be blunt with you: I am willing to help and do what I can to give this animal a better life.
However, if at any point you cannot afford her, or I notice any signs of neglect in her care, I will no longer be able to assist and will request that you rehome the animal.
It is not fair to her or yourself. If you are unable to provide for her further.
Is that reasonable?
!bin
Glass, PVC, and wooden enclosures are all commonly used enclosure options. However, for a temporary solution bin enclosures are a decent choice. They are affordable and easy to find, as well as being easy to alter to accommodate for heating. They work especially well for quarantine and for injured animals, but can be used in a pinch when other enclosures are not readily available.
For choosing a bin, you need to look at the dimensions primarily over the gallon/quart size. Glass tanks mostly go by the same standard dimensions, but plastic bins do not follow this rule. It should be equal or greater than 36x18x18, ideally with a floor space that is equal or greater than 648 square inches. When altering the lid, you can use a box cutter, plastic cutter, or soldering iron to cut. If you use a soldering iron, use safety precautions; wear appropriate PPE and do this in a well ventilated area, ideally outside. You can use either hardware cloth as the mesh. The easiest way to secure it is drilling holes into the lid and zip tying it down, but other methods work as well.
However, bin enclosures cannot be used with UVB. UV rays disrupt the photons in plastics commonly used by bins, resulting in the release of carcinogens and plastic degradation. A bin that has experienced degradation may have a more chalky or "filmed over" appearance, become brittle in its structural integrity, or change color. Common plastics such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) are especially susceptible to UV degradation. Heat is not nearly as much of a risk of off gassing, as the melting point for these plastics ranges from 230-320F. Linked below is more information on UV degradation in plastics.

https://www.essentracomponents.com/en-us/news/product-resources/uv-and-its-effect-on-plastics-an-overview?mode=amp
But for now a bin enclosure can provide her ground space and height.
What are the dimensions?
I need the measurements of the bin.
In cm, correct?
whyy
Is it LxWxH
hmmmmm yes I think
Cutting the side of it to glue another enclosure to the side of it is not going to work out.
I need to know if it is or if it is not.
yes yes
What other options are there?
This is biggest
I will search
@patent juniper Can you a send a picture of that bin we were talking about?
A bigger bin that is longer and taller will be better.
That is what we are looking to accomplish.
that one is 90 cm x 45 cm x 45 cm give or take. but my other ones i had for travel are 90 cm x 45 cm x 30 cm cus it's what they had at the time
Mayne Iām just stupid and it just looks small in camera
And maybe the hides r just huge?
The hides are like 9 inches
But yeh I can see how it could be confusing from a picture because the 40 gal glass tank and our tank size graphic also confused you some when you saw them š
The bin could fit a small child in it though thatās how big it is
I could probably sit in it with my legs bent
ideally you could bring something to measure it with, like a tape measure :)
you can use an app on your phone there is a measurement app for iphones
nah Iām too stupid for that
@queen frigate I talked to vet today about coming tomorrow and he said that even if I come he canāt do anything, only looking at her
Thatās so stupid
Most people will want to keep care advice in the server because the mods/TAs can't otherwise monitor it. This is a place that doesn't particularly condone shaming people etc though so please don't be afraid to keep your questions here, it's an understanding community in my experience
I doubt that youre stupid, but you can even bring a tape measure or ruler to measure things

Good morning.
careful not to spam messages too quickly the bot will get you
Well looking at her is what we would like to occur. He will need to see her, and make sure you show him the videos you have taken.
Sheās not opening her eyes
Well there could be countless reasons for that.
I would call the vet again and explain how this is an emergency situation.
I cannot give you any medical advice.
What am I doing now
iām sorry this is happening but there isnāt anything we can do as we arenāt vets & arenāt there in person. is there any form of emergency vet around you? is she breathing?
(I know I'm a little late) NQA but probably try to not touch her too much she's probably already very stressed I understand that you are worried about her but we don't want to make anything worse
She ate a tiny bit of smashed worms with water and calcium
update? were you able to get her an appointment scheduled?
nope. They all cancelled me.
why
have you tried to get in again since they canceled the either day?
yes
I tried today
and I texted them again like an hour ago
The closest one is on Sunday, and I feel like they will do it again
if that's the only one you can go to asap then it's worth a try
ok
good luck
Whatās happened
.
Why do u think that
I donāt think, I know
First theres this yellow liquid underneath her
And no heartbeat
No breathing
Dead
Do you have anything that could effect her such as heating or ate something it shouldnāt have
When did u get her
1 year ago and 4 months
Try touching her back or tail if you havenāt tried see if she twitched or kinda shine a light
Her heartbeat stopped
Oh right
Where tf do I put the body
If you want a nice memory have something in your garden but donāt put it in a bean can and dig it
I donāt have a garden
Im sorry for your loss, you could bury them in a garden or in your case maybe a big plant pot if you have that. Some vets can do cremations and this might sound harsh or put her away in the trash.
Well I got a little coffin for my bearded dragon and got his favourite item and put him inside and buried him inside the garden
Do you have a child?
hm yeah?..
I already buried her 20 cm down the ground
Why yiu ask
Kershaaw this is already being taken care of that's also not the best question to ask when a persons pet passes away.
Yuli i'm so, so sorry. I know you tried hard, You can call your vet and see if they can do a necropsy to help figure out the cause of death if you'd like. š«
Sorry i didn't see the part abt you alredy burrying her. I'm truly sorry about this, i know you've been stressed and trying to help, you did all you could. ā¤ļø
yep thanks
I'm sorry for your loss Yuli.
very sorry for your loss yuli
