How does her body look? I feel like her tail is getting a little skinny. 3 years ago she weighed 70 grams and was over weight. Maybe I’ve been feeding her too little? Right now she weighs 52 grams.

She gets fed 2 times a week. Either 5-6 mealworms, 2-3 roaches, or 2-3 crickets.

She also goes super crazy whenever I’m near her tank and will start biting at anything that I touch. It’s honestly kind of concerning. She used to not get this crazy. I’m wondering if I just don’t interact with her enough, or if she’s that desperate for food?

I know the picture is at a funky angle but I hope you can sort of tell. I wasn’t concerned until my mom brought up the fact that her tail looks super skinny.

Thank you! I did compare her to this earlier, but I was still in need of a second opinion

her tail does look a bit shriveled

i would up the amount youre feeding to 5-6 roaches and crickets as well, even up to 8 if she wants

Wow that’s a lot

#

That won’t hurt her?

#

She’s basically as long as 8 roaches lol

#

I just don’t want to hurt her or feed her too much for her stomach to handle because I know she won’t stop

you want to find an amount that will allow them to maintain weight well

for leos with slower metabolisms, that means 5 feeders every 10 days

but for some leos with faster metabolisms that could mean 5 feeders twice a week

I feel so bad for feeding her so little

I’ll definitely start feeding her more and see if that helps with her behavior and stuff
