Probably my big thing is if Raya isn't already in a quarentine setup then you should change it to that. I only say this because I didn't know about quarentine when I got my leo but also NQA
I do she's in a 10 gallon rn because that's all I had but she's only a week old should I go ahead and get a 30 40 gallon or do a 20 gallon till she hits that 8 month mark? And what is NQA
Not qualified advice since I'm not a TA (trusted advisor) :3
I don't think there's anything wrong with going straight to a larger tank but I'd ask a mod about that
But if you can I'd probably go for a 40 gal so you don't have to get another new tank in the future
Ahhh thanks and thank you
Hey so I would take a look at the server care guide! It has up to date care information backed by scientific data! Doesn’t hurt to double check what you’re doing with up to date info!
Mainly mention it cus 10 gallons is below even surviving minimum! !guide
Leopard geckos do not need grow out tanks and should go directly into thriving minimum sized enclosures. So definitely give the careguide a read over and compare what you already have!
Little one shouldn’t have been sold to you though if she is actually only a week old. (If she actually is that young I’ll tag a breeder for you so they can help you out specifically with hatchling care)
Definitely not at a sellable age what so ever and they should still be with the breeder / seller.
Do you have a pic of your little one?
Not currently but I weighed it and honestly yeah that makes sense bc she was 15g
If she’s 15 grams she’s definitely not a week old
Yeah I'm getting a muchhhhh bigger one Thursday
Send a pic of the cutie when you’re able! I might be able to help you guesstimate an age.
Based on the weight though I’d say maybe a month or two
Ok lemme get my brother to rq
Yeah she was given to me via a friend so I'm not 100% on all the details all ik is she is a she and I definitely need a bigger tank
Well if she's 15g you can't properly sex a leo until they're 20 grams so I'd take another look once she's a bit heavier
Okay so
without an eye pic I can’t be certain but it looks like you have a little albino baby on your hands. Size wise I would say maybe a month or so
hatchlings are way way tinier
Unhappy baby
Yeahhhhh ikkkk
In the case she is albino I can 100% help you get her stuff situated! As albino care is my speciality c: for now just read over the server care guide and if you have any questions about any of it feel free to ask here!
It’s good to see you have paper towels down though
Yeah imma try and the thing she's in right now a little more Homeir just until Thursday so hopefully she'll be a little happier
Ik albinism are typically sensitive to light. If that's the same with geckos how should I set up their lights or where can I find the info on that?
You would want more clutter in their tank I believe :)
