#Automatic Misting System?

NQA for leopard geckos it is not neccesary to include a misting system in your terrariums. If you plan on making a bioactive you could just spray the plants separately with a sprayer
also if your terrarium is on the rather small size (thriving mininum) including a full-on misting system would possibly increase humidity a bit too much
misting systems are better for larger terrariums
easier to keep a gradient
but there is no problem with misting systems if you use it adequately
in fact I plan on adding one myself at some point to mimic rain in my terrarium
leopard geckos undergo monsoon rains in their natural habitats
Thanks!!
So I’ve done one! And I full heartily think they can work but really only in larger setups like a 4x2x2 or larger! And they only go off like 1-2 times a week!
Larger areas allow for a better chance of it not raising the humidity too much compared to smaller areas.
My first tank will be a 40 gallon minimum
If your house has generally normal humidity it’s also not needed to mist regularly. It would more just be for enrichment. If you’re struggling with humidity issues than there are ways I would suggest working on that than a misting system as there can be outside factors affecting it that should be addressed
