uvb is dependant on your tank btw
if you send a pic of your tank lid's mesh and such i can link you the correct one for your setup
You know what brand it is? And yeh that works
zoo med
Is it a 40 gallon / 36x18x18
30x12x12 (ik it's a bit small, i'll upgrade eventually. Hes still small and it's what I had)
got it. since it's a 20 long uvb is gonna be a bit tricky (cus of the height) on it butttt
This one will work with the height. if you wanted to wait until you get a 40 gal to provide uvb that also an okay option. you'll just dust his food differently until then.
Awesome, I really appreciate the help 🙂
just keep in mind with that one when you do upgrade to a 40 gal you may have to switch uvb / buy a different fixture and bulb
just depends on what tank you end up getting
If I were to wait, what should i dust his food with?
you should be dusting with calcium, calcium with d3 and a multivitamin in general but without uvb you'd dust a little differently than if you had uvb.
how old is he?
Ah okay, been doing that already
!suppschedule
we have a folder for dusting schedules for without uvb here based on age and such
yep
And do I keep using the UVB bulb or get rid of it? (if I go this route)
wym
If I wait on buying the linear bulb, should i keep using my current bulb + the schedule
just the schedule
Alrighty
Should the multivitamin have D3?
ideally no, you should have a separate d3 supplement
👍🏻
I have zoo med reptivite without d3 currently, was just making sure
Because they also make it with D3
is this okay to use?
i generally only suggest using that for adults as it's a combo supplement but in this instance you probably could use it just fine since you don't have uvb right now
