Does anybody have any tricks for getting geckos to open their mouths to take really gross tasting antibiotics?
All of my normal methods are causing my poor girl way too much stress, and she is losing a lot of weight.
In contact with my vets almost daily, so no medical advice needed!

if they have a huge appetite, my vet has suggested (for pinworms) to inject the meds into a feeder. however if they dont have an appetite then the downside of this method is it could waste meds

Ooo she's not eating (for literally the first time in her life), but I haven't tried anything more interesting than her normal dubias / locust feeders. Maybe I'll try one of the more tempting types.

I have, she just clenches! That worked the first few times but she seems to have realised opening = gross
She regurgitated the meds this morning so most likely back to the vets we go

Maybe they can give an antibiotic injection, sounds like that would be easier for all of you ♥️ Good luck!
