I was buying a new heat lamp and at the pet store, the guy said that the red light is actually better for the gecko because it's less bright than the normal one (I bought the normal one anyway) and especially because my gecko is albino. And with the normal light they will not come out of the cave which is true in my case, Yumi never comes out during the day so I was wondering if that's actually true and better

red bulbs wash out their vision, its true that theyre worse! its normal for leos to not always come out during the day, you made the right choice getting the normal bulb :)

Check the colored bulbs segment

it means their vision is forced to be entirely red and not in colour, and yes that makes it harder to see

less activity could be due to seasonal changes if your husbandary refers to the server care guide albinos need way more clutter also normal that they dont come out regulary
