#why is my leopard gecko hiding so much?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
how long ago did you get her?
if you don’t got her recently it’s most likely due to seasonal changes since their metabolism slows down they will refuse food and they overall get less active during winter
to help find the issue i would recommend that you check your husbandary data (refered to our server guide)
humidity, temperatures (hot side+ basking surface) these are things that affect the apetite and activity of your gecko
if you have up to date care and your gecko was alwys behaving like that it‘s most likely just how your gecko is.
some are just less active then others some tolerate handleing and some don‘t
if they r striking on food i would keep an eye on their weight
One of the things that I have noticed is that, even though everything about the tank has the correct parameters if there is not enough cover, they will rarely come out of their hides. See if you can get more ground cover in.
that might be the case as well ... adding more clutter might encourage her to be more active since she has enough coverage she will feel safer when moving around, if not it's just her personality. if you want to i can look over your tank set up to give you some ideas on what to change if you have no ideas yet
@gray shuttle
sorry for ping tho
All good man. I’m fine with pings.
If you’re fine with live plants, try a pothos. It takes a bit for them to get to the right size, but when they do it’s dang near perfect.
we have to disclaim every advice if we are not a qa by putting nqa behind our advice :>
Oh right. Mb.
Thx for the reminder
