why does my lg glass surge and hide

is it normal she does this? she will wall scale(I think) in the left corner (her warm side) she does it a lot both with her light on and off she also will squeeze between her basking rock hide (the one she’s standing on) I move it so she doesn’t get stuck but she always goes back I don’t think she’s stressed? she never runs when I open the tank while she does it she just stands there and stares

I can’t find the exact model of the dome, it could be from zoomed but does have THRIVE on the back of it. I use a 75watt bulb in it and the zoomed digital thermostat that just sticks inside the enclosure and you use the round bit to watch the temp

hoping this isn’t too serious 🙁 if anyone needs any other angles of the dome like inside, top or a different side lmk

so what you have in your enclosure is not a thermostat

that is a thermometer

they're two seperate pieces of equipment

all 4 of my heat lamps for my reptiles are plugged into this, i set the temps i want for each on it, and it regulates it so that it does not get too hot for my animals. it also makes sure that there will not be any sort of house fire because my heat sources are being regulated.

what dome/heatlamp do you use? I don’t think I can plug mine into a thermostat because i only see one cord to it
I don’t think my bulb gets higher than 92? when I move the sensor for the thermometer over the rock it will read between 89-90 only the center of the rock will read 92 but I will definitely put that on my buying list I don’t want my girl to over heat omg

That’s the air temperature that thermometer is reading that is not the surface temp!

Also you only need one cord. !setup

The thermostat is what gets plugged into the wall and such. Not the dome.

I would also look into getting an ir- temp gun at some point so you can properly measure surface temperature of your basking spot! !shoppinglist

I personally use the black hides on the graphic for my hides and cover them with natural decor like corkbark and rock ouo

As long as it doesn’t drop below 65f at night she should be fine :3 they don’t need heating at night unless it drops below that in the tank

i believe she was labeled as an emerine but really all of that is just fancy names for tang

thank yew!! and yea she does look to be a blood emerine. she was labeled a giant emerine cross like peach said the more gecko morphs I look at the more I think she’s probably crossed with a emerine and one other parent on the tang line :3
