I don’t know if she was traumatized or something from her breeder because she does have a regrown tail but she is scared of everything.
Every time I put my hand in there to change her paper towels (I haven’t been able to get her on regular substrate bc I don’t want to stress her out a lot) she tries to bite my hand, she literally bit the paper towels trying to get me. She is not starved at all I feed her every other day, she’s just very food motivated which doesn’t bother me, but I don’t want to get hurt which will startle the both of us.
She also like to do those stress/startled screams just from me turning on my light. This morning for example: I left my chair by hair tank last night so I turned on my light to grab it, as soon as I touched it, she let out some type of growl/rumbling sound. Every time I turn on my light she runs and hides, even if she’s under her shade.
All I want to do is bond and love her, it truly does make me sad that I can barely go near her tank without her being skittish. I’ve had her for a month, she knows I give her food and stuff. I just want to at least hold her long enough to give her a bath if she has stuck shed and to change her cage decorations. Plus, I need to get her a new tank eventually..
