Currently my new juvenile leo stays in her cool hide all day
At 20:00 uvb goes off and she often moves to the hot side some time after that (she chose a low tree bark as the hot hide instead of the one I installed for her 😅 )
At 21:00 heat lamp goes off so she has less than one hour of heat lamp (but she stays under the bark, enjoys the remaining heat I guess)
No idea if she explores at night, usually I don't see her anymore when I go to bed, meaning she's back to the cool hide
In the morning there is some light in the room but not in the enclosure, I saw her out once, but usually she's hiding, not checking much though so maybe she wanders a bit
At 09:00 uvb and heat lamps go on and she stays hidden until 20:00+
(uvb is on an on/off timer, heat lamp on a dimming thermostat with night/day temperature goals)
I have the feeling the uvb is too bright for her right now (checked the graph we are at 0.7 UVI all fine) as she doesn't like being seen
I am pondering changing the timers to let her have more heat lamp time without uvb
Like, heat from 08:00 to 22:00 and keep uvb from 09:00 to 20:00, that would give 3 hours of "heat only" instead of the current 1 hour
any thoughts?
