#Weird lump on lower stomach of my Leo

do you know about how old they are or how much they weigh?
if theyre over 20g, this is a female
Haven’t had chance to weigh her yet. She was sold to me as a roughly 4 month old male 2 weeks ago
if shes roughly 4 months then thats more than enough time to tell
i just wanted to confirm gender and see if there are follicles
i cant see very clearly, but in the case she does have eggs, an xray at the vet will be able to tell
although a 4 month old shouldnt be mature enough to develop eggs just yet, especially now that its october
a majority of breeding activity/behaviour occurs between february and september iirc
Yea some people had the assumption it was a stomach issue but she’s eating and pooping daily as she’s under 6 months so still feeding her daily but I have cut down the amount a fair amount as I transition into every other day for feeding
I give her calcium Monday and Friday on her food. A bowl of calcium without D3 is in her tank as well as vitamins on her food every Wednesday currently
honestly it sounds like youre doing just fine for her
we'll see if anyone has any other ideas or can identify follicles/eggs from the photos
I’ve recently changed her substrate I’m unsure if that could have any impact? When I got her I got a tank kit thingy made with her, the substrate was a sandy one with lumps of clay in it but I changed it to Earthmix arid now as it was the most suggested and seems like a pretty good one
yeah earthmix arid is one of the only recommended premade subs out there. loose substrate would only cause issues if your heating and temperatures are incorrect
you can compare yours with our chart !tempgradient
but if shes eating and pooping, thats not the issue
Yea that’s what its like in there for her
She ate 4 from me Sunday as well as Monday so she is eating well too
If I take her Thursday/ Saturday to where I got her from for their vets to have a look then to an actual vet if they’re unsure would that be okay or would you say I need to get her seen asap?
i would skip the trip to where you got her from and go straight to the vet. since those people had previously misinformed you on sex and likely age, i wouldn't trust them with any medical advice whatsoever.
its not an emergency perse, but better sooner than later
when you do get to the vet, bring a fecal sample with a few days worth of fresh poop in case this is caused by parasites
you can keep it in the fridge to keep it usable for a few days
Okay thank you 🙂
