#UVB level/duration for hypo?

we do not recommend t8s at this time because none of our current data is based on them. albinos can have the same sort of uvb as non albinos. Uvb is not based on morph.
what sort of tank do you have / what is the mesh of your tank? the 6% generally isn't recommended as it's a High output bulb and often times too strong for a leopard gecko's UVI range
I’m preparing a 50g tank with metal mesh top. I bought this bulb per Reptifiles link to the recommended product.
Which is the percentage recommended? Is Arcadia ProT5 still good?
reptifile's guide does not take into consideration mesh blockage, distance , etc.
she just recommends products without even going into important details
do you have a picture of the mesh so i can give you a proper bulb?
looks like she just didnt update the shopping list. its not in the actual lighting guide itself. very unfortunate.. that probably messed lots of people up

do you know the brand of the lid or was it bought off someone used 😮
It’s brand new. Here is the exact tank:

thank you! just needed the brand :3
the arcadia 7% and even the zoomed reptisun 5% should be fine with that tank mesh!
!uvichart
it's a 45% blockage! so you want the decimal number in that chart to be .5-1.5 ideally!
Oh! So 7% of the shadedweller ProT5 isn’t as bad as 6% of this ProT5? Is that because mine is 24w and the shadedweller is 8w?
the wattage doesn't have anything to do with it!
so the 6% is a high output bulb like the 5% reptisun bulb. because of this they're stronger than the 7% bulb which is just a standard output bulb.
the 7% is the most widely used bulb for leopard geckos generally
Thanks so much!!
Last question, but since I also got this from Reptifiles, do you still suggest this 50w halogen bulb with a clamp & dimmer? I see halogen recommended, but not the wattage.
we dont recommend specific wattages because environmental factors can heavily influence temps. for some people 50w is enough, but others need 100w
so as long as your bulb is getting to the desired temps, youre good to go
we also do recommend dimming fixture if youre using an on/off thermostat, however i would actually recommend you switch to an 8.5in diam dome
I do agree with Xia. I would also purchase a 75w to start.
