nqa it fully depends on what you mean by desert terrarium, because leos dont live in the desert.
they usually live close to riverbeds in shrublands.
you can give the guide a read if you havent already-- it actually goes pretty deep into their native environments. the sources at the end contain more info as well

but, given you were able to replicate their native environment within a 36x18x18 or larger in a bioactive, a healthy leo would do perfectly fine
