So my Leo is around a year old or maybe two I’ve had her for less then 7months and she’s not skinny she’s still pooping but she’s eating more then she normally does but it’s starting of breeding season and I thought they are supposed to lose appetite she’s still active isn’t showing signs of stress but she’s like going after my fingers like their meal worms, is she just being playful because the bites don’t hurt she don’t even bite down just nips don’t break skin or nothing, so I’m wondering if she’s just being playful or is there another reason why she’s more hungry instead of being less hungry

They don't bite to be playful.
What else are you feeding her?
How much are you feeding her?
Like 4 or 5 dusted meal worms some times dusted with calcium sometimes vitamins
But ive been trying to feed her every other day instead of every day because she is getting older and I don’t want her to get obese
You need to add variety into her diet.
Feeding the same thing can be sparking bordem. Mealworms are also a small feeder. So I can see why they might be hungry.
How are you coming to the estimation that she might be a juvenile?
Because I havnt had her very long
And I use to feed her every day
I was feeding her crickets as well but they aren’t staying alive with everything I can think off and I’d rather not waste my money so I probably will try some other things like dubais she likes them and they usually stay alive
Crickets are easy to kill.
Most people don't really buy them to keep.
They usually buy a small quantity to use.
I don’t have a close by location for crickets
Silkworms, BSFL, Dubias, Mealworms, and Crickets are good staple feeders.
Black Soldier Fly Larva.
O
Where did you get the gecko from?
Petco my guy
Not the best place
I wasn’t very informed in the lizard world until after I got her and wanted to make sure she was took care of
Yea she was smaller at first and gained size fast and she sheds nearly every two or three weeks
Could be an adult then.
I would add larger feeders to her diet and rotate three feeders within her diet.
Right now you are feeding her small feeders.
Well the mealworms shed
So does that make them super meal worms?
They were advertised as normal mealworms
What do you mean shed?
They shed
Those are normal mealworms
Yea
I’ll try getting crickets and dubais
Do I feed her more frequently until I get more ?
@drifting phoenix
She might be over a year old.
If she is then you should feed two times a week.
But its hard to tell.
That's one of the many issues of pet store geckos.
But ten mealworms is not really a lot.
It wasn’t great
