Ideally you would be using a halogen or other incandescent bulb like the exoterra daylight or intense bulbs. Do you need night time heating? Is that why you’re looking at a DHP

Yes I have a basking light for her which I turn off when it needs to be dark but, it gets cold at night as the heater is turned off due to the light

They are always going to feel cold.. you’re warm blooded and they’re cold blooded

Your body is naturally basking temps for them.

It gets very cold around 70

If the house/ tank does not drop below 65 at night you do not need night time heating.

Night time drops are natural and recommended unless it’s below the temp I said above (65)
