nqa on top of the heat mat is good. its your "basking spot" so you want it to be 95f max
i personally think 96 isnt a big deal

its regulated by a thermostat so risk of fire is almost none

70 degrees lowest it would get is probably 68

peachy sent you the shopping list so it should be on there but the exoterra daylight basking/intense basking bulbs are very nice
im using a 75w for mine with around the same house temps so that should be pretty solid
