He has his humid hide and I spray it to make sure it stays humid. This is the first shed its entering since I've had it. Is there anything else care wise I should do or watch out for? All my research before and since I got him said the hide and then to only interviene if after there is stuck shed around toes or other areas.

Just want to make sure I do eveything I can to make it a simple process for him. Thanks (I say him due to not knowing if its male or female too early still)

nqa having the humid hide is all you really need to do, just keep an eye out after for stuck shed and dont intervene until 24h after

So if it looks to be stuck on his toe let him try on his own for 24 hours before considering the very shallow just for his feet warm bath or anything else? Ty fir your thoughts

Yep let him try on his own. The toes are the biggest problem area so if you see any stuck on there a warm bath will help get it off!

He's starting to get it off but seems to almost be panting and laying in his warm hide while he works on it is this normal? I just wondered I'd this is normal behavior ? I just don't want to miss if soemthing js wrong with this being first shed

#

Since I've had it

Just behind his ear holes is where it looks like panting almost? Is that normal?

I'll try and get one it isnt doing it anymore and successfully shed. Looks like it's all off from the quick glance I got but I don't want to bother ir for a couple days while it recovers. There is a small peice of shed on some bark it used to get ir off the rest appears as he ate it. Should I remove the small peice in the tank or leave it for him in case it wants to eat it?

#

If it happens again I'll record ir

I am wondering if it was just nervous with shedding coming that stuff hasn't happened today since the shed but I'll see how it is tonight when it's not sleeping

Shedding is a very stressful time for a gecko as they are ripping off a tight hoodie.

#

It's like they are super itchy and are trying to just remove the old skin.

#

You can take it out or leave it in there. Your choice really.

#

I would just look them over when you see them to ensure there is no stuck shed.

I checked when it came out earlier nothing I can see I'll examine toes much closer tonight when I feed though to be sure ty

Geckos are sometimes full after a shed cycle or just too tired.

Lol I think he looks fine Maybe a speck on one toe I saw but I'm going to wait for tomorrow to try and check and inspect I want to let it settle down it seemed kinda terrified it was its first shed as far as I know and it seemed ti be ... worn out after the experience poor guy or girl :/ but tonight it seems at least calmed down and is getting some rest now it was up most of the day nervous I've never seen it nervous except the first night I got it home and then right after it she'd so I'm hoping after tonight it's doing better over all. I was glad to not see anything stuck or anything

#

The shop guy said it was a month or 2 old when I got it so I'm not sure if it shed or not before but I'm justgad it's ober for this time. It did not seem to like what was happening and it took alot of energy it seemed from it

#

They also didn't know if it was normal giant or super giant so I guess well see how fast and big it grows lol
