I’m going to make a 55 gallon tank bioactive soon for one of my leopard geckos but I’m not sure if the light should cover 1/3 -3/3 of the tank. It’s a 48” long and the bulb choices are 24” 36” or 48” also should I get HO 6% bulb or 12% since he’s an albino morph? I’m going to get a 80w dhp and some type of plant light as well so if anyone has a bioactive I would love to know which brand works best.

the 6% is extremely strong, stronger than arcadia 7% due to the fact the 6% is a high output bulb
for example without mesh even at 18 inches away the 6% is out of ferguson zone 1 so definitely not good for an albino
how tall is this enclosure and do you know mesh brand? 2.5 might work but just wanna see

however i do wanna note (trying to space this out so it isnt confusing with text above for op)—
leo qa ping is also fine if its a bit more complicated question (like uvb bc it varies so heavily). i personally dont mind being pinged for uvb help and genuinely love talking an the subject however after speaking w others i dont think its rlly fair for other qa’s to not be pinged for the topic. even if they dont know the answer, sometimes its a good thing to just sit n watch when someone who does know talks ab it. uvb accessibility is a huge thing i believe in and i try v hard to make it easier for everyone to learn more ab and i feel it doesnt happen if only me or peachy is pinged

The tank is 20 inches tall and the light will be on top of the mesh. What light would you recommend instead?
