Those are his femoral pours
which seem to be clogged; please wait for a QA for more info on what to do
Shit
pores don't get impacted they get clogged btw
i haven't dealt with them so it's good to ping everyone lol
just wanted to correct the term LOL
Femoral pores? Does that mean it’s a girl? Thoight he was a boy for so long
femoral has nothing to do with sex it's a term
males have them. Females can have slight but it's not always a thing
Oh right
Any idea on what I should do ? Ik he’s been more active digging etc but that’s relitively normal for him
Peachy and I haven't dealt with it so you'll have to wait for someone else to chip in :)
NQA, I haven’t personally dealt w it, however I’ve seen others clean backed up femoral pores by loosening them in a bath (warm water filled up to their belly) and rubbing them off with a damp qtip
Additionally, I’ve seen others suggest to have a variety of rougher textures in the tank (rocks, wood) so that they can naturally rub it off in the future
They do indeed seem to be a little gunky but not terribly
He does have all sorts in his tank, dragon stone, normal rocks, slate, cork, wood, etc so dunno why it’s happened. Heard it can also just happen n they sort it out themselves but I’ll try give him a bath when I get in
Had him in a bath for 5 min before he got stressed chirping so he’s back in now
It did look like it was coming out the holes more than before tho
Couldn’t rly see
Managed to get a slight bit out but he gets stressed easily n won’t stop moving
You’re better off causing a lot of stress once vs stress a little bit each day, just grab him and get it over w tbh
Yoink
Health over comfort
@vestal cipher how’s it look now? Any better? Should I keep trying. Really struggling to get any progress rn
I'm really not sure. I haven't dealt with it. It does look better but idk if it's "finished" yknow?
Dunno why I thought u said it looks yellowish haha
nqa theyre still clogged. you see the gunk clogging the hole itself? thats what you need to take out (or better yet get a vet to do it if you dont know how to properly remove them)
Been rubbing the area with a wet cotton bud and that’s all I can get
these are unclogged femoral pores
nqa im sure a little bit isnt a big deal as long as it doesnt get inflamed
